  1. The Way Back with Ben Affleck. More of a character study than a sports movie. Absolutely crushing performance by Ben (looks like he had a lot of personal experience). About addiction, grief, loss and redemption. Highly recommend.

Wait a minute. This is a Spencer for hire origin story?
  2. I rewatched the whole series over several months ending just before COVID. It was all thoroughly enjoyable, even the seasons that people didn't seem to appreciate at the time. I watched on Hulu though.

I started watching on Hulu about a year ago but gave up half way through season one because of commercials. Starting back now that it’s on Netflix.
  3. If these vids are boring let me know and I’ll stop. Trying to figure out a good way to use the camera.

And if there is something y’all would like to know or see let me know and I’ll try to figure something out.

Leaving the TA in Meridian MS on my way to Baytown TX

Almost to Baytown and this guy almost ate the trailer in the right lane. The prospective of the camera doesn’t do justice to how close this actually was. You can see the break lights and the swerve at the last second.

I was doing a little trailer trucking today. Lol

I reset the trip meter after I filled up in Meridian MS. So that mpg and speed is for the 508.5 to Baytown TX

That includes crossing the Bridge in Red Stick at 15:30 this afternoon.
There is practically no traffic out here anywhere. 18fad4c60f61b6e67c7610ddb25e0620.jpg
That’s I-10 bridge west bound in Baton Rouge at 3:30 in the afternoon.

  5. So to clear up a few myths.
    Truck stops are open.
Restaurants are closed to seating but you can order to go. Same with the fast food joints in the truck stops.
Showers are still open along with bathrooms.
All of the scales I’ve passed from GA through upstate NY have been closed.
Traffic has been much lighter in the cities I’ve passed through.
Rest areas are open for parking only.

I’m a little nervous about tomorrow. I’ve got a stop here in Syracuse and on in Albany. I hope they are open to receive.
Trying to get a load back to Texas and will try to stay within a tank of fuel to the house in case it all shuts down.
So far it’s been business as usual but I’m afraid that’s about to change as I think this is about to ramp up over the next week or so.

Keeping myself entertained this weekend trying not to dwell on all the drama.

  6. I’ll have the lines short enough to turn but won’t be getting tangled up. I hat a T connection done so that I can still use airlines in the traditional way if I need to grab a different trailer for some reason.

Also I think I still have to use glad and on the other end under the trailer. Some bullshit DOT rule. But the quick connects make it easier for when I drop the trailer. I can leave the air lines with the trailer instead of having to tie them up on the tractor somehow.
