Another happy H2O customer here. 3GB of LTE data for $28 a month. I rarely use over 1GB, I'm on wifi at home and at work.
They use the AT&T network so coverage is great.
AT&T was charging me $52 for the exact same plan. Like someone mentioned above, AT&T has a line access fee which is like $20. Ridiculous!
I will be in Madrid, Spain for a few days in April. Any must sees?
Most importantly, is there a restaurant or two I should not miss?
I have a reservation at Botin Restaurant one evening and I want to eat at one of the Michelin star places as I have never been to one anywhere. I am thinking La Terraza del Casino as I am a fan of Ferran Adria and I read he is a consultant here.
I'm interested in this topic as well. I'm heading to Marrakech for a few days in April.
I plan on taking a day trip to the Atlas mountains one day.
Half day tour of the Medina and other historical points of interest including the Majorelle gardens and YSL museum.
Evening food tour in the Jemaa el-Fnaa
Hammam scrub and massage.
This restaurant looks interesting, https://www.alfassia.com/our-restaurant/ employs mainly women.
I'll be staying in the Medina at Riad Les Clos de Arts. The Riad has been very helpful booking and planning some of my excursions.
Looking forward to the trip! New continent for me.
Thanks for all the advice! It sounds like this could be a big risk and stressful if everything doesn't work out just perfect. The next day is Easter and if I miss this Norwegian flight, the next Norwegian flight to Austin is not until Tuesday.
I did find another Easyjet flight that leaves Madrid at 9:50pm on Friday night, which still gives me the whole day Friday in Madrid to do stuff. Stay Friday night at a Gatwick hotel for that Saturday morning Norwegian flight.
Still save the 15,000 plus points and not risk missing that flight home. Seems like the smart and safe bet.
Yes, flying out of Gatwick on that Norwegian flight. Carry-on only. Just got to get to that Norwegian gate in an hour and a half. Would I have to go through security again?
Flying back from Europe in April. I am looking at taking EasyJet from Madrid to London Gatwick, to catch a 10am flight back to Austin. My EasyJet flight lands at Gatwick at 8:25am. That's an hour and a half to catch that flight back to Austin. I will only have a carry-on. Never been to Gatwick.
Can I make?
(Going this route would save me 15,000 points. Seems worth the risk)
I've had Vue for a couple weeks now, no problems so far. LHN was a big selling point for me. Mainly for college baseball season.
On another note, does anyone else have problems receiving the local Austin FOX channel over the air? I live in Round Rock and have a 60 mile Mohu antenna (amplified) and it's the only local channel I don't get. Luckily I get it on Vue though.
Sprint has a deal for a new S9 and unlimited data, talk, text for $69 month. After a year you have to pay the phone off in full(minus what you already paid, $9 a month). That doesn't sound too bad of the coverage is good in Austin.
Also going to look more into the Xperia phone and using a sub-carrier.
Maybe slingbox for tv. I do have a "smart" t.v.
I have AT&T wireless, Gigapower and Uverse. Looking to drop the bundle package and find a better (cheaper) way to get TV besides cable.
Since I will be free of AT&T I am looking at other carriers.
I live in Austin and travel to rural East Texas to visit family once a month or so. No business travel, but vacation out of state/country once or twice a year.
The phone I have is paid for but outdated so I will need to get a new one.
What carriers have the most reliable signal for Austin/Texas, good rates on unlimited data plans and good phones?
Or are they all about the same for my area and I should just stick with AT&T?
It seems most unlimited plans across carriers are about $60 to $85 for one line from what I found. I just need one line, single no kids. Verizon or T-Mobile seem like good options? What about some of the smaller ones?
Watching TV without getting cable options are welcome too. :)
Just got my tickets email!
I don't have baseball or football season tickets. Used to have football season tickets and donated to the longhorn foundation years ago. Not sure if that helped. I applied on Monday after the selection show.
