  1. My cousin's ranch land was totally burned. Yes, it will come back. But in the meantime, the cattle up there need food. So send your extra hay. Especially if you don't want meat prices to go up even more.

I mean I care about all of y’all (most of surly which I think is pretty fucking generous of me) but like I cannot save all of your asses. I’m not John Wick…I’m just ridiculously good looking…I can’t fight some deranged serial killer that spikes men’s drinks and drowns them.

Besides I’d have to tone down my hotness and blend in…this is asking too much. I’d stick out…the killer is just after y’all’s asses. Then this person would find me and wind up stalking me and then my brother (a surly member—not telling you who that is) and my cousin in law (also a surly member) and my longtime friend from Amarillo (also a surly)…and all the many friends I have made here would then end up forming a search party and have to post some sad ass thread in the DT (which will wind up with a sticky or in the fucking CR) “Nicole44 is missing: Please help” and that’s like not cool.

Like y’all would form a search party to find me…not happening. And then it would be some Board Discussion thread on how I sucked as a poster and you’re glad I disappeared because I was too powerful (or just fucking bored and like to post long ass rambling posts like this one which is why I have bulletproof rep) to crowdsource.

I mean…we all have to die sometime but I’d rather my demise not be at the hands of some other surly lurking here that probably is the serial killer just so y’all can high five each other when they finally find my severed head over by the snowcone concession at a shitty fair in Zilker park. You people ask too much! (Lulz)

Also this fellow camper from that camp we both went to.

  3. The Avery Ranch Golf Club violated an Austin zoning code when it allowed an adult entertainment club to host a tournament including topless women this week, an official said Friday.

Austin City Council Member Mackenzie Kelly said she heard about the event when parents of Vista Ridge High School golf team members called her to complain. They told her that golf practice on Monday had been canceled because a tournament hosted by the Yellow Rose, an adult entertainment club, was happening at the course. Some parents also sent her photos of what they had seen, Kelly said.

"I've seen photos of women topless on the course passing out alcohol, which is concerning considering they were in a residential area," she said. "At first I was very shocked and surprised that would happen."

The parents are clearly not briefed on Council Member Kelly's history. But Kelly was shocked, just shocked.

Are you also for getting rid of any responsibility that the father has after the birth of a child? I don't see how you can grant the woman total control over whether to have the baby and then force responsibility for the father after the birth.

Then men should learn to keep their legs closed if they don't want a kid.

    2015- $75k total value, land $15k
Last year $320k, protested down to $260k. Land $80k
Just got 2022: $540k of which lot value at $283k?? Wtf. Just a few months ago whole thing $260k??
Its on .2 acre in old mexican town.
Shit is outta control. Lot is more than most high dollar neighborhoods around. Crazy

It will be interesting to see how this plays out. Developers want this land. But the city is working on a neighborhood plan with the current residents and preservation people.

That's not it at all.   The large public systems, like the UC's, have determined that the standardized tests are inherently culturally/socio-economically biased.  They are trying to even the playing field.  A lot of schools are test optional, but systems like the UC's are test blind, meaning they won't even look at your scores.

Yes I realize the UCs are now TO/TB and is their long-term policy, but the impetus behind most everyone else in the country going TO the last 2 years was because of Covid restrictions. That is the question I was answering. Some may reinstate and some may not. TO is probably a big reason apps were up so much all around.
