  1. They are exploiting our weakness but we can overcome that as a team. Our DB play is not the best so put a skirt and lipstick on that pig and emphasis the other parts of the team where we excel. We need to keep scoring and we need to pass rush and sack the QB.

Over my decades of watching college football, the average season for Texas is 8.5 wins and 3.5 losses. basically oscillating between 8-4 and 9-3. That's life among the big boys, but it has included some very  memorable years along with three national championships. And then there's Aggie, whose only national championship is four generations ago and rapidly passing out of living memory.

    4 national titles: 1963, 1969,1970,2005

give us our due. We have a lot of unclaimed ones but these are truly legit.

  3. Every kid is a dipshit who will succumb to peer pressure to have a party if they are in high school. Because in their pro/con analysis in their governorless brain, it will always be worth it. Be a hero to the whole school and have the party people will talk about for years over pissing off people who will still love you and forgive you in time. The nicer your home, the more likely they get uninvited guests. Call a neighbor to watch them and maybe you can do it.

Look, I think Sark should win, but it is not some weirdly uncommon thing for a coach whose team was picked to finish outside the top 5 and ends up finishing in the top 2 or 3 to end up winning the award.

FOOTBALL - OSU picked 7th and finished 2nd.
VOLLEYBALL - KU picked 5th and finished 2nd
SOCCER - Tech picked 5th and finished 1st

Texas was picked to finish 1st and finished 1st.  You don't often win the award for meeting expectations.  It ain't no Texas conspiracy.

Gundy took a team picked to finish 5th, who suffered a pretty bad loss to South Alabama, to a 7-2 record (2nd place) and a spot in the CCG.  That is pretty much a Coach of the Year type of thing.

Going by this reasoning, why was Neal Brown who was expected to finish last not given the nod? He far exceeded expectations with his 8-4 record, 6-3 in the Big 12. Fucking coaches can't give it to the coaches that deserve it more.
