NFL / NCAA / Raiders should have built a 130k mega stadium in vegas

all super bowls and ncaa championships in vegas

everyone has been raving about the events all weeks in vegas

ticket prices are saying it all

Yeah I hadn't paid attention to how big the stadium there is, but when I heard 65k for today's game, I thought WTF need 100k+ there.

37 minutes and $31 later, taxes are done and filed.

    That wasn't too painful.

This is usually me, but this year my wife and her siblings set up a joint account from her mom's estate after her mom died early last year.

So there's about $4k in interest income that tax is due on and the 1099-INT came to us.  Trying to figure out how to report nominee interest income in the software and it's not clear how to do that.  Or can we just pay the whole amount and have them reimburse us without any sort of red flags?

Truth is, though, that two or four mil probably ain't going far.  You know she has a million-dollar-plus house and a good chunk in cars, too.

If an employer ain't footing most of the bill, that shit's expensive.  So, she probably didn't have health insurance.  But it was mostly a matter of choice.

    Still grifty.

NBA players Gold medal winning gymnasts with huge endorsement contracts, announcing careers, and well-careered ex-husbands make a lot of money.  But they spend a lot of money, too.

I saw Sublime with Rome this summer. I was drunk on a blanket at an outdoor venue. Rome Ramirez made some comment about the people in their 40s & 50s in the crowd. The early 20s kid setting right next to me booed. I looked at him and said, "These songs came out before you were born. Why are you here? Is there any artist from your lifetime that doesn't suck?" He had a sense of humor about things, which is good, because he could have knocked my old ass out if things got nasty. The moral of the story is this, I'll never get over the Oilers playoff collapse in Buffalo in 1993. All of the overpriced drinks at retro concerts in the world won't fix things. So, I'm alone. Always will be. I work a bit. I eat a lot of Chinese food. I listen to some podcasts. I'm just biding my time, occasionally shaving my back, waiting for the heart attack that puts me out of my misery.

Dan Campbell is doing the same things he was that got his team up 24-7. Y'all gettin' on him... I don't know what you're seeing.

The 49ers defense started playing a lot better, and their offense made some amazing plays.

Well, he did take the FG in the first half when I thought he was going to go Tin Cup.  But he saved all that for 2H.

So, I dunno what the 49ers did on defense, but suddenly the Lions can't score at all.

Lions defense is as tough as it was in the 1st half, but the 49ers have been making some amazing plays to keep drives alive and score.

Well they COULD score.  If their aggy coach would allow the kicker onto the field.

  7. Yeah I'm either doing the Fast Park driver or golf course starter gig.

Every time we take Fast Park, I tip the driver $5 so that seems like righteous bucks there.  Golf course prolly gets me a free round or two a week, so that's a nice bonus, too.

  8. Yeah when the rates changed a few years ago, they also changed the withholding.  Our withholding went WAY down in relation to earnings, so instead of getting a refund, we've owed the last few years.  Got to look at the effective rate instead of "muh refund".

Check out Atchafalaya. Small place with a southern vibe. Service, atmosphere, and food were top notch.

Their shrimp and grits is probably my wife's favorite dish on Earth.  The fried oyster salad and gumbo I got last time there were really good.  And they make a damn good burger.
