So is this the point in the season where you stop posting? Like that gap from the end of 2014 until 2017?

To be fair, I didn’t post in the EPL threads in 2014 either

Yes.  Making up that 5-point deficit over the course of 32 matches is essentially impossible.  It must suck to be a City fan right now.

I never said it sucked or was impossible.  It’s just the way I see it playing out this year.  We will steal a lot of headlines with impressive scorelines, but they look like a machine built to not drop points.

This is why parents and teachers need to loudly and consistently emphasize that this behavior is NOT normal or acceptable.

Teachers are employees of the state.  We will get fired as soon as one dotard supporting parent learns that any teacher says a negative word about him.

  4. I’m actually surprised that Nadal (-130) is a favorite in Vegas over Fed (+110).  Imo, Rafa has played better during the tournament, but this is possibly Fed’s best chance to win another slam.  I am cautiously optimistic about Rafa’s chances, but don’t see any way that this isn’t a close match.

The roster is deeper but the top tier talent is not better. Last four US goals have been headers of a cross and penalties. Now the US isn’t playing up to potential either but they haven’t since group play.

None of the last 4 goals have been penalties

    France

1st Goal-directly in off the free kick

2nd Goal-shot from the center of the box off a counter attack

    England

    1st Goal-Press Header

2nd Goal-Morgan Header (which was more of a perfectly lofted pass than a cross)

Ellis' shitty coaching choices have one positive and some negatives. While it was insanely dumb the way she used Lindsey Horan against Spain, Horan should be well rested and ready to go and having arguably the best player in the game fully rested and fit for a Quarterfinal is a big advantage. On the flip side how much will some of the older players (Rapinoe, Sauerbrunn, Heath) have in the tank for this game? Can she risk not starting Rapinoe to use her as a second half sub to keep her fresh? How much of a leash does Morgan have as she's been ineffective since playing Thailand?

Jill Ellis is the big question mark. The US can out-talent most teams including France, but if this game is nip and tuck is she going to make the right decisions? It's a huge variable.

She should be very well rested since she isn’t in the starting 11

del Potro. Federer blew a two-sets-to-one lead against him in the 2009 U.S. Open final.

Had Federer not let that one slip away, he would have held all four slams after winning the Australian Open to kick off the following year.

I don’t know if I am misquoting or not, but I am pretty sure Delpo is currently the youngest major winner on tour.  He will be 31 in September and Cilic is a couple of days older (I think).  Regardless of how dominant the Big 3 have been, it’s pretty sad that not one player currently in their 20’s has ever won a major.
