Things back to normal as Fed is up 4-1 in the 2nd

Federer drops the opening set to a guy who has never won a match on grass.

Just your average everyday “Extremely stable genius” giving an update on his relationship with one of the world’s worst dictators.

What a great game. Glad it comes down to PKs.
-
Yeah both of these teams should kick our ass in the final if we make it that far.

I can’t imagine ever sitting at home and watching Dotard give a speech. Talk about wasting your life.

We fucked France twice tonight.
Missing out without losing to another UEFA team is brutal

Ellis' shitty coaching choices have one positive and some negatives. While it was insanely dumb the way she used Lindsey Horan against Spain, Horan should be well rested and ready to go and having arguably the best player in the game fully rested and fit for a Quarterfinal is a big advantage. On the flip side how much will some of the older players (Rapinoe, Sauerbrunn, Heath) have in the tank for this game? Can she risk not starting Rapinoe to use her as a second half sub to keep her fresh? How much of a leash does Morgan have as she's been ineffective since playing Thailand?
Jill Ellis is the big question mark. The US can out-talent most teams including France, but if this game is nip and tuck is she going to make the right decisions? It's a huge variable.
She should be very well rested since she isn’t in the starting 11

del Potro. Federer blew a two-sets-to-one lead against him in the 2009 U.S. Open final.
Had Federer not let that one slip away, he would have held all four slams after winning the Australian Open to kick off the following year.
I don’t know if I am misquoting or not, but I am pretty sure Delpo is currently the youngest major winner on tour. He will be 31 in September and Cilic is a couple of days older (I think). Regardless of how dominant the Big 3 have been, it’s pretty sad that not one player currently in their 20’s has ever won a major.

Smooth Pk taken

This has been a fantastic game. Hopefully some of these players with yellow cards can get another one and miss the quarterfinals.

Nice strike. I really thought Bradley was going to wait until tomorrow to hit the pass.

The sad thing is that all adversaries will now be emboldened because they will realize how weak Trump's position is. Nobody believes him. I don't think even his supporters think he's honest.
You must not have talked to many of them. I worked with a guy who recently challenged me to name one thing he has ever lied about.

I know it’s almost impossible to win back to back weeks, but Rory is one of the few that seems to carry it for a little while when he finds his “A Game”.

Not excusing the play but that was very much offside.
Yeah that was pretty terrible all around. No idea how the linesman missed that or what the fuck we are doing.

Talk about a drop in form by Thiem to start the 3rd.

I took a shot on Sir Winston to win and show. That should win $270ish. Takes some of the sting away from the Kentucky Derby.

How the hell did we just survive that without giving up a goal?

Tomorrow's going to be fun. And by fun, I mean utterly predictable.
As a Rafa fan, I hope you are correct

Anyone betting the Belmont today? It seems like a chalky kind of race with Tacitus and War of Will as the favorites. I’m thinking about taking a shot on some of the bigger prices (Tax, Master Fencer, Spinoff, or Sir Winston) since it is such a unique race. But I am having a hard time convincing myself that any of them have a chance.

I wasn’t planning on getting up to watch it, but when I got up and saw it was 4-1 Theim in the 5th I watched the resumption. Really an ugly half hour or so with both guys making a ton of errors. I’m happy for Thiem though because I really thought he got screwed yesterday.

The rumor is that Djokovic left the stadium and leveraged with officials to cancel play the rest of the day...if so, a total disgrace to give-in by RG when there are playable conditions. Thiem should be furious.
*If* that is true, he should be DQ’d. I would think that maybe they talked about it and he said he wasn’t going back out there, they caved, and then he left before the public announcement was made. That would seem more likely than him just leaving, but you never know.
