What a wonderful Christmas for liverpool

Can we beat city on the 3rd and have a 10 pt cushion????

Right now I’m not sure we can beat anyone without Fernandinho.

You get the onside kick you only need 15s to get into fg range, you need at least 1 min to get a TD

And in the kick it on 1st down scenario, if you get the onside you now have 2:15ish with a timeout and the 2 minute warning to get the TD.

That might be the dumbest take I've ever heard.

I know right?  Let’s just play it out for fun.

FG is made on 1st down KC is now down 7

Roughly 2:15 left - Onside kick attempt (most likely fails)

1st down play starts around 2:10 timeout called afterward

2nd down play ran and 2 minute warning stops the clock

    2:00 - 3rd down play ran

Now if KC stops them (huge fucking question) Seattle punts at around 1:15 and KC has 1:10ish left to try and score a td.

It’s about maximizing your chance to win, they completely put it on successfully executing an onside kick with no safety net.  It was the wrong call and it really isn’t debatable.

  4. They really should have kicked the fg on 1st down.  Then you have a chance at the onside and if that fails you have the 2 minute warning and a timeout to stop the clock and get the ball back.  Now you must get the onside.  Coaches are really stupid sometimes.

  5. We are in some serious trouble here.  We are pretty terrible team at coming from behind.  The attack often turns into launching crosses into the box and hoping our 5’6” attackers can win aerial battles against much larger centerbacks.

And congrats on your two year anniversary of being a City supporter

Aww did someone get his feelings hurt because your weak attempt at trolling didn’t get your desired outcome?  Even if I had only been a City supporter for 2 years (which is false)  how pathetic would it be that during that time I would have experience more success than your team has in the past decade?  Tell me when you will be receiving your championship gear for the first 16 games again.

    Update?

I would have taken getting 7 points at Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, and Spurs without KDB.  I would have figured the draw and loss would be reversed from what actually happened, but it’s not a big deal.  I still have little doubt that by the end of the year it will be comfortable margin with City winning the 2nd straight title.  Congrats on being in first with 22 games to play though!

  8. Bama’s defense is average (by their standards).  OU has no problem scoring against a much better Georgia defense last year.  I have a feeling that they will put up their usual 45.  Now Bama probably won’t punt all game so it won’t matter, but it should be an entertaining game to watch.

Penn State at #12 is super lame. Iowa's the only semi-decent team they've beaten.

This is Exhibit A why preseason rankings matter.  There is no way on earth that a preseason team with their resume would be in the top 15.  Zero impressive wins, and shit all over themselves multiple times.

  10. I’m not saying it is going to be another 100 point season, but I honestly believe we are better this year.  Sterling and Bernardo Silva have taken their games to the next level, and the back line is playing so much better than any time last year.  There are so many ways for this team to beat you, and that’s without KDB.

It's City's world. The rest of us just live in it. Liverpool have had their best start in club history and after today they'll be in 2nd and over 10 goals down to City. They are a machine.

The crazy thing about it is even without KDB, the only points that have been dropped came off a handball goal to Wolves, and a missed penalty late against Liverpool.  The schedule hasn’t been too difficult to start, but after next week we will have played 4 of the 5 other big 6 clubs all away from home.  Teams are going to have to win at City for this not to be another dominating title campaign.

  12. KDB out for another 5-6 weeks after getting injured yesterday.  Sucks for him and the team, but it isn’t the worst time to have it happen.  I just hope it isn’t something that lingers through the whole season.

  13. I can’t say that I wouldn’t have taken a draw heading into today, but that missed penalty changed everything.  Why the fuck was Mahrez the choice when there were at least 3 better options with Jesus, Silva, and Fernandinho?

All in all I am pleased with the start, but this team is definitely not the same without KDB.  I hope that he is back after the international break like he is supposed to be.
