well that didn't last long. i have picked my horse. going all-in on Enticed. please go off at 30/1.

Well his current odds are 50-1, so the early money is definitely not favoring him.  Justify is up to 7/2, Mendelssohn 6/1, Magnum Moon 12/1, and the biggest early mover is My Boy Jack going from 30/1 morning line to 5-1 2nd choice.  Of course all this will change drastically but it is fun to look at right now.  I’m pretty settled on Mendelssohn as my pick, but I really want to see Rayya in the Oaks first.

  2. It’s curious that Nadal started beating Federer at the age of 17, and continued to do so up until last year, and the first thing some of you think is “he must have been doping”.  He is one of the players that has pushed for harder drug testing almost his entire career.  He’s simply one of the best to ever play the game and a nightmare matchup for Federer.  Next thing you will all be saying that golfers are on ped’s because they look different than the players from the previous generations.

  3. This is one of the most unusual threads I can remember.  It’s like you guys are talking about a retired great, and forgetting that he is one of the 2 best (arguably the best) players in the world right now.  It’s just strange.

  4. Straightforward for Rafa, I’m kicking myselp for not betting on him to win the French at -130 when we were in Vegas over spring break.  I think he will lose early in one of the final clay warm ups and get some rest before Roland Garros.

You've obviously just started watching the game. Maybe take it in for awhile before offering opinion.

Been watching for less than most but have followed for about 5 years so I’ll go ahead and offer an opinion.  This isn’t even an issue that effected my team (they got their asses whipped).  When you play 180 minutes and both teams score the same amount, one team did not outplay the other and doesn’t deserve to advance until they, you know, actually win.

I get that it is used to encourage teams to go for it on the road, and makes the 2nd leg more entertaining in many instances.  That does not mean that it is not a stupid way to break a tie.

I was just kinda joking with you but thera reason has already been stated. You want to encourage teams to play the game the right way.

Ok my bad.  It still doesn’t make sense.  I can’t stand Madrid but if they were to somehow lose 5-2 tomorrow (not a chance in hell) they still scored the same amount of goals.

Because it’s harder to play on the road?

It’s harder to play on the road in every sport.  You don’t see the nba, nhl, NCAA, or mlb use road wins as a tiebreaker.  I could maybe understand if both teams didn’t get a home leg.

  8. We need to keep this up in the 2nd half.  A couple more goals and the confidence will be sky high heading into Tuesday.

Sidenote: That half was exactly why Sterling is the most frustrating player in the world to me.  He does so much so well, but he just seems to struggle with the simplest of finishes.  It’s like he is better from 20 yards out than 1 v 1 with the keeper.

  9. 1-Placement isn’t that bad but most players will have no angle due to playing away from the fairway bunker.  There will be many long birdie putts from across the green

2-Impossible to get a 2nd shot close.  I think we will see a lot of long bunker shots or players laying up down the right side to get a good angle.

3-Impossible pin,  everyone will be laying up to get as much spin and the green will run away, good luck.

4-Hahaha good luck, front bunker should see a lot of work

5-Depending on how high over the ridge the pin is located you could see some decent scores here.  There will also be a ton of long putts going up the 4-5ft slope

6-This is the pin that Tiger hit a 30 yard hook to get close to about 6-7 years ago.  Outside of that it’s pretty much impossible.

7-I am not the most familiar with this green and the placement looks pretty tame compared to the others.

8-Not the most difficult, but the second shot has to be hooked.  With the pin on the right, ang eagle attempt will be from a lucky bounce off the mounds (which could also leave you with an impossible pitch) or from a long way away on the other side of the green.

9-You can get a straight putt if you are pin high, or you can leave the ball a yard bellow the hole and have it run back down the slope for a 50 footer.

10-You are going to have to take on the bunker to get it close.  If you end up in the bunker you will have a 25+ft par putt.

11-Might as well consider this a par 5 and play out to the right.  Try to get up and down and run away with your 4.  I do see this as a potential hole that the lefties could have an advantage on.  A cut to the right may have a chance of getting close.

12-Center of the green of front bunker is the play here.  Get out with your 3 and you’ll pick up something on the field. Another left handed advantage hole.

13-Easiest location for safety on this green.  Take on the flag and you will most likely end up down the slope with a long uphill eagle putt.  Miss a little long and you are chipping down that slope and have a 30 ft uphill birdie putt.  Another left handed special.

14-Barely on the green.  Not the worst place possible but the slope will take everything away from the hole.

15-I actually think this is one that isn’t too difficult.  Don’t miss right and you should have a decent eagle/birdie chance.  Righties finally get an advantage here.  This could play as the easiest hole on the course today.

16-Much like 4...hahahaha good luck!  It may not be as difficult as yesterday, but you can bring more trouble into play going for it today.  Lots of long putts and bunker shots here.

17-Not bad, center of the green should give you a chance.

18-Another bit of a breather after the beating you took all day. Get the ball on the proper level and you should have a good look.  Leave it short though and you get the fun of finishing with a 35ft putt up over a ridge!

Patience and distance control are going to be even more important than usual today. I see someone like Stenson having a good day.  Hope that Jordan can get it together and make another run.  Should be fun today.
