There are some decent strip clubs in Birmingham for those that are interested. Also a bunch of bars in the Five points area.

Way back in the day I may have frequented those Strip Clubs....but those girls gotta be drawing social security by now.

I don’t know how accurate they are but there are videos that keep popping up on my YouTube that say Alabama is losing their receivers and people are blaming Balls on Chin O’Brien. I have thought he would be jettisoned after the season but, it hasn’t yet happened.

Yes most Bama fans are blaming him for everything since the JFK assassination.  His offense while scoring a lot of points goes to sleep for long periods of the game. Bryce Young covered a lot of his ineptness.

Doesn't the SEC charge these bozorons $250,000 for rushing the field? Between that and having to pay through the nose to keep players from portaling out going to be real hard to move on from the albatross hobbit.

I think the first offense is $125-150 K. Repeat within a certain period is $250K

They don't think it odd that they have a real artillery piece near the playing field. That's just accepted because it's their tradition.

We warned the guys. They didn't move. So we fired anyway.

That's crazy as the middle tweet above says. The fact that they recognize the need for a warning indicates that they recognize that it's dangerous. Still, they fired. I guess if they had a tradition of running a Sherman tank through the endzone, it would have been tough luck for the guys praying.

Get the fucking real cannon off the field you stupid, dangerous twits!

Maybe our first rule suggestion with the SEC should be no real military equipment near the field.

Maybe get rid of all the racist, homophobic, "traditions" that CULT embraces. Before coming to the SEC I had no idea about any of it.

Get rid of the fake army and gay milkmen/yell leaders as well.

This is 2022, almost 2023 how is this "school" even allowed to exist with all their "traditions" that are so blatantly offensive to anything remotely decent? Nuke it from orbit...please.

You can kick the coach out of Oklahoma, but you can't kick Oklahoma out of the coach.

There's a reason they call the team with the most player arrests, etc. is named after former Fut coach Phat f'n Phil Fulmer. He'll probably play Saturday despite the felony assault arrest. It should add at least 15 points in the quest for the 2022 Fulmer Cup.

CBS only gets one night game and this was supposed to be juiciest matchup of two top 5/10 CFP contenders, Jimbo-Saban offseason spat matchup, Alabama 2021 revenge. I’m not surprised they picked it at the beginning of the season to be the big CBS night game

But CBS should have known aggy was gonna aggy. Too bad they couldnt flex it to some other ESPN network and pick up a better game later in the year like Alabama-Tenn or Alabama-Ole Miss.

Not sure, too lazy to look up, but I think CBS gets two SEC doubleheaders per season.

Beat the wheels off the Sooner wagon Longhorns!

Paul Chryst, Wisconsin agreed to vastly reduced buyout of the fired coach's contract terms

Wisconsin fired its head coach and former quarterback Sunday

    JOHN BRICE        OCT 3, 2022

Even in the end, Paul Chryst proved himself perhaps the ultimate Wisconsin Badger.

Fired Sunday after seven-plus seasons as head coach at his alma mater, Chryst accepted a vastly reduced buyout, with Wisconsin athletics director Chris McIntosh acknowledging the two sides negotiated a compromised sum.

Though McIntosh did not initially reveal the remaining amount of money that Chryst would ultimately be paid not to coach his alma mater, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel has uncovered the reduced amount.

Per the J-S, Chryst agreed to a reduced buyout amount of $11 million – approximately 55% of the $21 million that Chryst had remaining on his multiyear pact that had been revamped after the 2019 season.

Chryst is due the full sum by early February 2023 and also does not have any mitigation, sources said, toward future employment with his settlement.

Chryst’s buyout amount, coupled with those that will be paid to the fired coaches at Arizona State, Georgia Tech, Colorado and Nebraska, brings the dead-money cost to these schools up to a combined more than $55 million, led by Nebraska’s $15 million owed to the fired Scott Frost.

If I'm fired by my Alma Mater I'm not settling for anything less than the full buyout. He seemed to be doing a decent job, not good this year, but overall.

Never been to a red river game. Tom Herman has said momentum isn’t real, Nick Saban has said that it is. I just don’t know who to believe.

Guess that would depend on which coach you trust to navigate such a game...and come out with the win. Kissing your players before the game should create a lot of "Momentum".

AP Preseason Poll 2022: Complete College Football Rankings Released

    ROB GOLDBERG      AUGUST 15, 2022

    k5e6ojkwzvciotez5msm.jpg

Alabama enters the 2022 season as the No. 1 team in the Associated Press poll as a clear favorite to win another championship.

The Crimson Tide lost to Georgia in the national title game last season, but a strong returning core of players makes Alabama the team to beat once again.

Ohio State is ranked second in the preseason poll while Georgia, Clemson and Notre Dame also sit in the top five ahead of the Aug. 27 start of the regular season.

Here is a full look at the Top 25.

    Preseason AP Poll

    1. Alabama

    2. Ohio State

    3. Georgia

    4. Clemson

    5. Notre Dame

    6. Texas A&M

    7. Utah

    8. Michigan

    9. Oklahoma

    10. Baylor

    11. Oregon

    12. Oklahoma State

    13. North Carolina State

    14. USC

    15. Michigan State

    16. Miami (FL)

    17. Pittsburgh

    18. Wisconsin

    19. Arkansas

    20. Kentucky

    21. Ole Miss

    22. Wake Forest

    23. Cincinnati

    24. Houston

    25. BYU

After the Amway Coaches Poll listed Alabama as the No. 1 team, there was little surprise the Associated Press would mirror the top of the rankings.

Besides the consistency of head coach Nick Saban, who has won six national championships in the last 13 years, the main reason for the confidence in Alabama is quarterback Bryce Young. The junior won the Heisman Trophy last season after totaling 4,872 passing yards with 47 touchdowns and seven interceptions.

Even after losing top receivers Jameson Williams and John Metchie III, Young should still post big numbers in 2022 while leading an elite offense.

On the defensive side, Will Anderson Jr. is looking to continue his form after totaling 17.5 sacks and 31 tackles for loss in 2021.

ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. listed Anderson and Young as the top two prospects in the 2023 NFL draft class, indicating the high-level talent on the roster.

Ohio State also has a star-studded roster led by quarterback C.J. Stroud, who threw 44 passing touchdowns last season with only six interceptions. His connection with Jaxon Smith-Njigba could be the best in the country in 2022, making the Buckeyes a dangerous team offensively.

Georgia remains a team to beat after winning last year's championship, especially with quarterback Stetson Bennett still on the roster. The challenge will be reloading a defense that had five players drafted in the first round last April, with eight defensive players drafted in total.

It could be a tough challenge for head coach Kirby Smart, especially early in the season.

Other top teams are also looking to earn a spot in the College Football Playoff this year, including Texas A&M and Utah trying to break into top four.

No. 14 USC could be a sleeper to watch in the first year under Lincoln Riley, especially after bringing in Caleb Williams and several other instant-impact transfers.

Texas—which had one first-place vote in the coaches poll—is unranked in the AP poll

You can debate the top three, but I don't understand the Clemson and Notre Dame love at #4 & 5. With the loss of so many coaches and etc. I think that's too high for them.

Pretty sure he’s not retiring. Nick is going to die on the sideline

I think that is a possibility, although he rarely has the rants anymore. He seems to be a "kinder, gentler Nick."  Angry Saban is the best Saban.

  13. 14 hours ago, G650 said:

It's not that. It's Kirby Smart's inability to produce dynamic rushers which has gone back to his Alabama days. It's the same old song, stifling run defense with monster lineman. It was the source of some real friction before he left since Saban recognized the need for improvement in the rush. Jeremy Pruitt was a massive upgrade in this regard.

The other issue is Georgia was just outright a step slow in the secondary. Nothing to do with pass protection, they just flat out got beat.

True, "3rd and Kirby" became a thing at Bama long before Smart left for UGA.
