  1. Congratulations on the great win! I'm not an SEC homer, I was pulling for Texas all the way. Maybe UGa should have spent more time getting their mind right to play Texas instead of tweeting about how they should have been in the playoffs. If Georgia were a playoff team, go out and prove it on the field. CFB is better when Texas is back to their winning ways.

  2. Watching them against OSU and again against Florida, UMs players looked like they were running in mud against elite athletes. Especially against OSU. The quality of athletes they put on the field is  substandard. Shea Patterson at QB was laughable to begin with after watching him play multiple times before he transferred.

I am a huge Applewhite fan and pull for UH because they rep Htown. Fuck UH for giving him only 2 years. He should definitely been on the hot seat for the wretched performance to close out the year but he should have been given a 3rd year. I guess they’re hoping that lightning strikes twice and they land on another up and coming can’t miss coaching prospect like Tom Herman.

If UH finds the next "up and coming" Herman, he will be there what two years before he's gone to a power five job?

I commented before, but this Mercedes Nick Saban commercial......how many cars did they have to give him to finally agree to go through the motions for that

Nick has three Mercedes dealerships, One in Hoover, Al. another in Irondale, Al. (both suburbs of Birmingham). And another in Nashville, TN.

Hopefully our offense will not be offensive.

UGAs defense has a flaw called "3rd and Kirby. His defensive playcalling is very prone to giving up big gains on third and long. It goes back to his DC days at Bama, used to drive the Bama fans crazy. Your offense should feast on some of these.

Serious question, as a recent CFB fan recently exposed to the aggy "traditions" (2012) is every Damn thing any idiot aggi does become a tradition? They seem to have more "traditions" than the rest of the SEC teams combined. The gay milkman thing is disturbing to say the least. Are the students dressed in Military in An ROTC type program, or is it more of a fraternity? I have great respect for the Military, but they also seem creepy.

It is 'aggy' not 'aggi', aggy boy.

I spell it different every time I type it out because I don't have the respect or care to type it whatever way the agi prefer.

That's right I forgot about the Ole Miss game where they scored right away. To only trail for 70 seconds this deep into the season is fucking unreal.

Clemson in the past competed with Bama because of Watson being able to make plays with his arm and legs. That has always given Bama's fits. Can Lawrence do the same for this year's Clemson team if they play Bama? I don't think he can.

It sucks to say but I really think Kyler Murray and OU have the best shot out of any of the teams left to knock off Bama. Although Tua would destroy their secondary. But they have the offense to be able to keep up with them.

I agree about Kyler and OU, the game might get in a shootout with both teams putting up video game numbers. In a game like that one missed scoring opportunity could be the game

Clemson looks alot more capable after Dabo replaced Kelley Bryant with sunshine. Bryant wasn't a passing threat and a one dimensional offense isn't winning against equal talent.

Ole Urban getting criticism for lack of red zone success because his starting QB can't run so not a match for Urban's Offense..... SOUNDS FAMILIAR .....reminder of differences when Sam starts  vs Shane

Quote from Bucknuts article:  "Offensively, the Buckeyes have lost their identity running the football. Meyer’s teams at Ohio State never had a run-pass split where the team didn’t rush the ball at least 100-plus times more than it threw it. This year, the Buckeyes are passing the ball on 52.1 percent of their offensive snaps.

That makes sense given that Dwayne Haskins is under center. Haskins, who some already consider NFL ready, is putting forth record-smashing passing statistics. But Ohio State can’t run the ball. Despite the presence of a pair of 1,000-yard rushers, the Buckeyes are averaging 4.36 yards a carry, which ranks 66th nationally. The Buckeyes have never ranked worse than 20th in that category under Meyer.

To Biddle there’s a simple explanation.

Meyer's baby is the power spread and zone read and he just refuses to divorce from those principles despite a quarterback who doesn't fit those strengths. For all Haskins' passing abilities, he’s far from a rushing threat while averaging 1.6 yards per carry. To operate the zone read, opponents must respect a quarterback’s ability to keep the football. Haskins simply isn’t fleet nor does he run enough for defenses to respect that option.

That lack of balance hurts Ohio State in the red zone. The Buckeyes failed to convert time and again against Purdue, and that’s a trend. Ohio State sits 117th nationally in red-zone scoring percentage.

“I think Dwayne Haskins is a fish out of water running the zone read,” Biddle said. “It’s like a fake version of the zone read, window dressing. That’s Urban’s bread and butter. They’re still lining up like they’re running the zone read. But it’s not really the zone read, hence the name the zone read. It’s reading the defensive end or whatever his key is and deciding after the snap. They’re not doing any of that.

“Good coaches find a way to adjust their scheme to the strengths of their players. Urban’s not doing that this year even though he’s done it in the past.”

Haskins passing yards comes from screens, jet sweeps, and three yard passes that net a lot of yards after the catch. His passing reminds me of Jalen Hurts passing yards in 2016, except Haskins isn't the runner Hurts is. With OSU not having a competent running game Haskins has a alot of stats with not much to show for the yardage. They beat Ped state with screen passes that they never adjusted to stop.

Isnt't the real question why aggy - charter member of the secsecsec and owner of more national championships than Auburn, LSU, or Tennessee - not mentioned by Bama fans as it is Alabama's greatest rival?

The only mention needed for the aggi is a rousing F#$K you to them.

I was astonished at how bad Kentucky seemed to be. I had not watched them and did not know what to expect, but... How were they ranked at all, let alone in the top 15? Was this an unusually bad game for them?

I had watched a good bit of UKs games and knew they didn't have a QB who was a threat to pass the ball. With average talent everywhere but RB and DE eventually someone was going to make them have to pass to win. Surprised the fightin Mullens didn't do it.

  12. Congratulations to Texas on a great win, the sooners, barn, and almost aggy losing is a good day of CFB. If only Kentucky had a QB the last one might have happened. I think Herman has UT headed in the right direction, which I think is good for CFB when the Longhorns are in the conversation for postseason play. Unless I still need to be on the "fire Herman" wagon. (it's hard to keep up with where the fanbase is on this subject)

I live in SEC country surrounded by AU, Bammers, Gators and Tigahs.  I hear people championing the SEC all of the time.  Growing up I heard a lot of declarations on this team or that (Texas a lot of times) maybe being a .500 team if they played an SEC schedule.

That said, I can't remember ever seeing a sticker / hat / t-shirt around here that had the SEC logo on it aside from SEC Championship gear

I live in the SEC footprint, been a lifelong fan of Bama. I don't know anyone who does the SEC chant.  Aside from Bama I usually pull for whatever will cause the most chaos and or biggest meltdown. I never cheer for auburn, as nothing good ever comes from a barn win.

In the few short years the aggi have been in the conference I've learned to despise them almost as the barn. Has any fanbase got more credit for being mediocre  than the aggs? Is every stupid thing they do destined to become an aggy tradition? I would be glad to see them disappear from the scene.

  14. I checked out the GBH site for the delusional comments, and I wasn't disappointed. The agroids have arrived and all they have to do is beat Bama and they will have punched their ticket to the playoffs where they will face off against Clemson again and win this time.

  15. My adopted niece had her wedding last season on the 3rd Saturday in Oct. the traditional day for Bama vs Tenn. I had to take my parents. At least there is always DVR. Of course the marriage lasted less time than college football season. She is also a barn graduate, the only one in the family.

But it's like the old quote "any publicity (even negative callers attempting to rip on Finebaum), is still good publicity"... And it would expand his reach, as is Buckeyes don't call into his show; at least I wouldn't imagine that they do...

Buckeye fans call in to the s$#t show, even Texas Longhorn fans call in. The one good thing about Finebaums show being national is showing all fanbases have some real morons.

Man, that show was like waking up in the drunk tank of Cullman County.

I live on the Cullman County line, never been in the drunk tank there, but I did have an incident with some "weed". The judge was surprisingly easy, only paid a $250.00 fine.

I don't see how Saban can be blamed for this, Reuben Foster gets all the blame for this. If there was a way to diagnose CTE without analyzing the brain he would most likely have it already. That doesn't excuse his behavior, but the first two years at Bama he played sparingly because he was like a missle leading with his head. He suffered head and neck injuries often. I was afraid he was going to break his neck, or worse.

The players behavior after they get to the league are no more on Saban than they are on The Texas coach.
