  1. Patty critics don't care, and maybe they shouldn't.... But I bet he'd look a lot different if he was on a team where he just played the role of 6th man streak shooter.

He belongs on a second unit as a gunner. But over the past 2 seasons he has at times been asked to start at PG and/or be the primary ball handler off the bench. Neither are what he's made his career off of. On defense, he's a guy you hide on the weak side who occasionally slides into position to draw a charge. Of course Dame and McCollum are going to roast him.

Patty is what he is, man. The guy was HUGE to that 14 title, played injured - took less $ because of it - for which Pop rewarded him. I will be surprised if he doesn't get his jersey retired here actually

  2. KD would've been a great Spur, but he opted for easy rings and to ruin what little parity existed.
Oh, wells. Fans will keep buying tickets so ...
No doubt they would've signed him immediately if given the chance, but I'm not convinced he would have been a perfect fit culturally.

Pop always talks about wanting players who have "gotten over themselves" and that's not KD as far as I can tell. Great talent. All-timer. You sign a guy like him 100 times out of 100 and never look back. But being a 'perfect Spur' generally has a lot more to do with personality than just basketball skill.
  3. Wasn't there for Tulsa, but the USC and TCU games were great both excellent in terms of atmosphere. USC was truly outstanding.

Lion's share of the credit to CDC and Co. for their updates and improvements, but credit to the team for rising to the occasion also

  4. Part of the problem is shows like all access that stick cameras in the kid's faces and make them feel like they're reality TV stars. That just reinforces this "all about me" generation of humans who already are major attention whores on social media. The LHN is fine but they needs to do away with all access and get the cameras out of players faces except maybe one day a week at practice to get some clips. I'd do away with all of the coaching shows except 1 and limit that exposure as well. Maybe try again to push for having HS games air on the network and see if that can work now that no one feels threatened by the network.
    Laughable, man.

Have you ever seen the documentary on the 05 rose bowl team? Cameras were everywhere and they didn't seem to have a negative impact.
  5. I want that ‘47 Brand State of Texas Base Runner Cap that the Coop sells, but it’s been out of stock for the white one for 2 weeks. I’d rather have that one than the Nike Golf one with the star where Austin is.

Hopefully they’ll be back in stock before I come down for the USC game.
It looks like its in stock online
  6. I want a water jug. Their "growler" is close, but I want an actual water jug. 3 and 4 quart options.

And while you're at it, 5, 7 and 10 gallon water coolers. The ones with the little "tap" at the bottom.
I mean they have 1/2 and 1 gallon jugs and a 6 gallon water cooler.... But maybe I missed the joke?

  7. https://clutchpoints.com/raptors-news-jay-williams-doesnt-think-kawhi-leonard-wrote-thank-you-letter-to-spurs-fans/
I honestly don’t feel like Kawhi wrote that. It’s like ‘hey team, let’s find some way to smooth this thing over.’ And we talk a lot about athletes being authentic to who they are… I don’t think that’s Kawhi. And almost, in a way, I wish he wouldn’t have said anything – because that’s who Kawhi is. He doesn’t really say anything. And that’s fine, just let your play prove or dictate how you feel on the court. But that wasn’t Kawhi.

Who gaf? He's gone. Been gone a year already.

I welcome our lord and savior demar dechosen one
  8. Hodor - is that referring to Ahora Sí employees (of which there are 200) or the entirety of the staff of the Austin American Statesman?
Ahora Sí, the American-Statesman’s weekly Spanish-language newspaper, will cease publication Oct. 11, the company said Thursday.

**The announcement came at the same time the Statesman announced all its 200-plus employees would be eligible to take a voluntary severance package.**
  9. Not gonna lie, I may interested in the camping/picnic blanket if it comes in at a decent price (lulz). The wife’s current one collects a shitload of burrs and stickers every time it gets used. Knowing yeti though, it’ll come out at $150 compared to similar products already on the market that go for about $20
    Close!
