Old article when Yurich left Okie Lite...

Quote:  "[Mike] Yurcich is a guy whose name has been out there the last three years. Interesting how some of the fans view him but everybody else in the country wants him," Gundy said kind of wide-eyed during a press conference a few days before the Liberty Bowl. "Pretty interesting concept. At some point, Mike is going to move on. I told you guys last year during bowl prep that I wouldn’t be shocked if Mike is a head coach or moves on. He’s had interest from the NFL. There are NFL teams that have called about him as the NFL starts to migrate toward college football on offense. At some point, he’s going to move on. He’s 41 or 42. He’s at a point in his career where that that could happen. We would love to keep him here. We’re not going to be able to pay what other schools will potentially offer him. If he gets a run to be a coordinator at all the schools that are interested in him or maybe move on to the NFL, that’s probably going to be his next move. You just call it like it is. Some of the other coaching jobs you get at levels that are lower pay about a third or fourth of what these guys are making as coordinators. We hope to keep him as long as we can, but at some point he will move on. If he does, we wish him the best. He’s been very loyal and has been great for the program."

    This guy sounds deplorable. 🙄

I never heard of a rebellion at OkSt because the coach was an asshole. He’s had some lower rated recruits and turned them into stars. His job is to put up the same type of stats that Ok St put up. If he does that and Ash does his job, these are going to be the start of some great times again.

  2. I guess KKL doesn't realize that Evans has until February to sign.  Now the letter he sent into Georgia is just sour grapes that she lost and that money is gone. Maybe she can pull a Tony Buzbee....pay for a hooker, she steals your 8 ball, art from your house and keeps the fee without service. That fool called the cops. Let the NCAA know KKL that Evans cashed the check and didn’t sign for Jimbo!!!   Aggy gonna aggy

Yup, momentum after a bowl loss in a game they don't want to be in.

They don’t want to be there. They feel like it’s their birthright being in the meat grinder that is the SEC they should be in the playoffs with 2 losses.  Advantage lower tier Big XII

Never a more aggy statement than that...

She was skinny once and became obese .....but at one point she was hot!!  She’s not obese, she’s big boned!  She has a great personality!   Jimbo is going to get her a peloton and work off those pounds and she will be hot again!  Aggy gonna aggy

Good for you, man. Keep laughing. Back rub that teenager as much as you can, too. We all think it is awesome that you guys are so close.

Haters gonna hate. At least you have a board where you can go vent.  😂. I will do that. Thanks for the kind words and I will send your best wishes to him.

The only person that idiotic on this board is you and your simple “Texas fans are so stupid” mantra with nothing else to offer.

You are a perpetual and willful dipshit with the “everything is fine” nonsense. You’re Baghdad Bob for this site and yet you fail to recognize that. Your recent “except no one will actually be flipping” comment after like 4 guys decommit and ahead of several other potential ones is particularly hilarious. Just shut the fuck up with the fake bullshit and keep the twitter updates going until Machinator slinks back.

You’ve really brought nothing to the table here except feigning a position above the fray based on the concept that Herman has his head handling a far more complicated process than we can comprehend. You should be fucking negged into having to find a new handle. The next “I get it and you guys just don’t, Herman’s got this” propaganda from you should lead to a fucking permaban.

I’ve met the guy and I know others who have as well. We’re not all waiting to be blessed by a visit from an overpaid dipshit actively failing at his job. I will happily join you at his next public appearance and call his bullshit out in public if you stand beside me. Then you can regale the crowd with how your loving relationship with Tunmise Adeloye validates him from being a fucking imbecile on social media and someone we should all love irrespective of his college choices. Should be awesome.

Cracks me up that you are so worried about how a 16 year old behaves on social media.  Who cares? Obviously you do because you brought it up.  I was never in his position and neither were you so you don’t know how you would act.  But evidently you would not have enjoyed the process and shut it down after your massive Freshman year.

Exactly! Just like the program has been just fine for the last 10 years.

Mack’s first 3 years were a mixed bag.  He won 9 games every year and recruited like crazy.  But we weren’t playing for championships and everyone on Longhorn Fan Zone lost their mind and wanted Mack gone.  He got 10 wins in year 4.  People still complained. Point is, it takes time and patience. Clemson fans wanted to fire Dabo after his 3rd year.  Then in year 4 it all clicked. It takes 5 years to get everything in place.  If we are 7-5 after 2020, then it’s time to make a change.

    [harvdog] Well unhire him!!! [/harvdog]

Our fans are such a shit show during a coaching search.

Funny.  What amusing is how worked up everyone is getting about a process they know nothing about.  All the speculation is hilarious.  If Mensa showed up to their offices to sit down they would all be kissing his ass and taking selfies.  But since that isn’t going to happen, they sit and bitch about what they think is best for the football program and pray for us to lose so they can speculate about the next coach.  These are the same people who bitched about Mack when he was winning 10 games a season and it wasn’t enough.

    Relax.  We will be fine.

Technique, Fundamentals and a simple scheme would have won us 3-4 more games this year.

If we were sound with this we would have beat LSU, ISU and OU.  I think Baylor would have been closer but that game was on the offense.  I have read comments and spoken with some friends close to OSU and they all love Ash.  They said he preaches fundamentals.  I think we will see a better disciplined team that actually wraps up and tackles.  It’s a novel concept but it actually works.

  10. I watched his defense at OSU and they were a solidly coached unit.  By that, I mean they could tackle and cover.  It’s sad that at this level that kids forget the fundamentals. We were being eliminated by recruits because of the 3 man front.  This should get us back in the door and get some solid DL committed to play in Austin. A good pass rush. Ames the backside ,look improved.  He’s a definite improvement over TO.  I don’t take stock in what happened at Rutgers.  He’s a solid DC and I expect that unit to be much improved.  Now we get a decent OC and WR coach and we can all start bitching about next year.

Catching Sunday’s game at NRG for the first time in likely 7-8 years. Just can’t make many games since I’m in Austin for every home game. Im super familiar with the whole complex. Rodeo, high school games, TX bowl twice (unfortunately) and tons of other reasons,  not too sure on Texans operations.

Just was looking for some parking tips. Are there any cash lots at all,  and are they reasonable? Honestly, my buddies and I have parked at pappas bbq or that old Toys R Us and walked almost every time there’s something at NRG.

No cash lots at NRG.  Park at Papaitos. Go in and then walk over. That’s the best way to do it.

  12. Latest from 24/7 and Roach;

With the regular season over and the Longhorns waiting on a bowl bid, the Texas staff will hit the road to recruit. I’m told that the Longhorns will have a staff meeting on Sunday to organize their recruiting effort and hit the trail hard during the next few weeks.

As of now, the staff hasn’t really been told anything about their futures and will continue with business as usual until alerted otherwise. Expect the Texas staff to see their priority targets in order to lock guys down in the weeks leading up to signing day.

I would expect Stan Drayton to be dispatched to Tucson to meet with Bijan Robinson. The five-star back is probably tired of answering questions regarding his future, but he’s one of the most important commits in the class. There have been rumors regarding Robinson and USC, but sources I spoke with still feel good about where Robinson stands with the Longhorns.

I would expect Jason Washington to also head to Arizona at some point to see Kelee Ringo. As our Blair Angulo reported, Ringo was considering an official visit this weekend but needed to stay and practice for Saguaro’s state championship game. Ringo is still sending positive feedback to Texas, and I’ve been told the family is expressing an interest in making it to Texas before he makes his decision at the All-American Bowl. We’ll have more on this race in The Stampede.

I would expect Tim Beck to see every quarterback the Longhorns have committed. That would include Ja’Quinden Jackson who told Horns247 that he intends to sign in December and has no worries about his commitment to Texas.

I would also expect to see some new offers go out during the next few weeks. Defensive line is a likely spot for an offer with Texas commit Van Fillinger showing heavy interest in Utah. I could also see cornerback as a spot where Texas could make some new evaluations and offers.

Finally, I would expect the Texas coaches to show their face at as many games as possible. It would not be a surprise to see the staff represented at NRG Stadium next week for the 6A-D1 Region 3 final between North Shore and Atascocita, and I’d also expect to see them in Frisco where they will likely be able to take in a game between Duncanville and Southlake Carroll while also seeing Denton Ryan in the nightcap.

As Horns247 reported this week, there is a lot of belief that changes are coming, but for now, the staff is readying for the final recruiting push and will until they are told differently.

Not mad at all.  Didn’t realize it was a parody account.  Never paid attention to his posts so I was uninformed. My bad.  Is pretty funny how a group of guys got so worked up on a Friday afternoon about it.

Oh, my sweet, sweet harvdog. It is one thing to get serious or worked up about something I wrote, but taking the bait from HankScorpio? Sir!

No bait.  He’s uninformed.  He’s like a 50/50 mix of Chin pubes and EJ’s replacement. His opinions are based on bullshit....that’s the Lucci coming out.   Funny thing is, when Tunmise signs with Texas, he will claim he knew it all along and didn’t want to jinx his pick....and that’s at a Roach level of prognostication.

Knowing him and his family for as long as I have, I will stick with what I said 2 years ago.
