So no one is going to say anything?

    For real for real?

Folks, this here is probably the first and ONLY example of outside agitators that I think we all can agree on.

Only maroon wearing agro American I see in frame is the pasty feller.

Can't read coverage. Can't read the room.

Perhaps we have a reading issue in the DB room.

An insight as to why Joseph and/or Gideon were not replaced after the season?

Seems Sark would have to know they are the weak links on the coaching staff.

First playoff appearance will do it

Just admit you wanted to keep cheering for the Cowboys. It's ok, no one else cares.

Lol fuck no. The extent of my NFL fandom has always started and ended on former Longhorn players, and not always necessarily the teams they play for.

  4. Exactly. HTown kid coming off of winning at the highest level previously. The Texans needed something to get people excited, but chose Mario fucking Williams instead.

I know he wasn't going to have some Tom Brady esque career playing under Jeff fucking Fisher.

I’ve never liked the Texans name, branding, unis, etc but I actually kind of like the red horns helmet.

The number font is a weird choice.

I'll add to this that not drafting VY sealed the deal with me never being a fan despite being a native Houstonian (and actually working there a couple of seasons as a bartender.)

Also, agreed that the red helmet does look better than the other.

Let's be careful about lauding Sarkisian towards rare air when it comes to all of this. He's not alone and he's not supplying the cash. The fact that Texas decided it was important to give a mediocre former walk-on who comes from money and was happy to play for free a big fat stack in this cycle should cause everyone to pause in a big way before going in this direction.

    Holy shit. Taafe got paid?

    Brooks maybe?

Brooks makes the most sense. Wasn’t it mentioned on here he was considering the portal at the end of the 2022 season and there was some disconnect between the staff and his dad?

Don't you put that evil on me, Ricky Bobby!

  8. Based on your previous disdain whenever his name was mentioned during our coaching searches, surprised to not see Sonny Dikes make the list. Ditto for Kirk Ferentz even though he didn't get any mention for UT.

On the flip side, do you think it's too early to judge for Leipold or however it's spelled? He seems to get a lot of love from the national media. I'm of the opinion if his trajectory holds another season or 2, he very much should be on the "good" side of things.

Beg pardon for asking, but has there been an official estimate of the number of fans attending today’s O&W scrimmage?

    About 1000X aggy

Arch looked lost a year ago. He looked anything but lost today. He's clearly absorbing Sark's playbook at a rate that should make us very happy.

Without a doubt he's much improved. I think what's lost upon folks is that he was running with the 3rd team last spring, and was behind the starting oline today. That can make a world of a difference.

But again, he looked great today.

  11. The rain chances look moderate at this point for tomorrow during the day. Looks like the majority of the rain and thunderstorms will occur after 5. I'm going to wait and see what the forecast looks like tonight (maybe even early morning) before making a decision. Again, having small kids (11 y/o and 14 months) is influencing my decision.

This is such a common and strange reaction from aggies I meet living and working in Austin.  It's not like it should be any surprise encountering Texas grads in the same city where the university is located-- if you choose to live here you really ought to know what you're getting into.  If encountering Texas grads is going to be a remarkable and unpleasant experience for you, then Austin is probably not the city for you.

To be fair, I have a similar, yet more polite, response when encountering aggy--

    "Oh, my condolences. "

Brah, the Internet does not lie, and I was assured up thread that it was a done deal that he was going to USC and UT shouldn't even bother.

I wonder with Alexander reaffirmed, if it might've changed some things? Don't know but fuck sc.
