  1. I had a Cardiac Score ( non contrast) done and the score was a 1,000. I had one done seven years ago and it was 90. that's not good. All in all my Cholesterol is fairly well in control so this is odd. Going to have a Nuclear Stress Test done next week. Oh year....they think there might be a murmur or valve issue. Fun stuff.

The Mennonites and Christian Aid Ministries are far down the list of objectionable groups. They bring medicine and work on physical infrastructure work and do not tie it up with proselytizing or conversion efforts.

Even if you think the adults  were stupid to go there and their religion is dumb, there’s an eight month old with them that some gang leader is threatening to shoot in the head.

they brought an eight month old to Haiti, I'd shoot the parents

yall use this Owlet smartsock shit?

100% unnecessary. As are the sleeping pads that do all those measurements as well. Another poster hit the nail with the Lizard Brain comment.

PJs: your kid will live in them and spend half their day in them up through almost age 5. If you wife washes laundry as much as mine, they will shrink, but extra.

Little boys live in Athletic shorts, sweats, joggers. I cannot ge tmine to wear jeans anymore. Shirts with buttons? nope.

I'm jumping in here.  Finally making it back to the city after a 18 month absence due to the cooties.  Solo trip.  Nov 11-14.    I need a solid dinner rec for a Thursday night.  Friday going to see a band play at Bowery and Saturday some friends are putting together a dinner.  They usually pick super trendy impossible to get into spots.   Casual. aka nice jeans Dockers etc.  I don't want to drag anything more in the clothing dept.  I've always wanted to go to Momofuku Ko so maybe I've answered my own question

soon to be new Dad here - researching a million things but any specific product recommendations to either steer clear of or that you can't recommend enough?

Diaper Genie is a worthy spend.

when the kid is about a year old, go buy a three ring inflatable pool and 3 or 4 hundred colored plastic balls: should cost less than $50 and you have your own ball-pit.

Hire a baby proofer for your house.

Sucks.  My boy got really sick as a little guy from daycare and they needed a urine sample.  He was so dehydrated they stuck a catheter up his pee-pee hole......he was.....not happy.  It killed me having to help hold him down

    :(

they asked for a urine sample and he has been working on his aim for peeing standing up...he thought this was fascinating.

I've already got a town picked out in Costa Rica.   Looking for better climate.  My second and last kid with be off to college in 7 years and I assume by then my mom will have passed.  She's about to be 85 and not in the best of health.    I looked at houses on my last trip.  You can get a house on a hill in a gated neighborhood for under $400k.   I'm focused on CR mostly because they have good health care and it has the type of activities I enjoy.  I thought about Belize but the health care isn't great and its too damn humid all the time.   I do need to check out Panama and Colombia which I've been to but haven't look at what the expat is like.  My Spanish is decent and could probably become fluent within a year.   I'll also maintain a condo in downtown SA for as  long as I keep working.   I would love to move to Asia but I also don't want to be +24 hours away from family.

The amount of imaginary play the parents do with the kids, like the imaginary bus driving,  etc. is awesome, but makes us look bad.

    who's "us"?

I've noticed they've had the parents letting the kids piss in a bush or behind a tree multiple times in the show, and now when we are at a park, my kids ask if they can do a "bush wee".

My kids are 4, we let them take a emergency wee when required

    This hasn't aged well.

I feel like when they watch Bluey, they are sometimes judging me and my wife, and  always finding us very lacking compared to Bluey's parents.

Bandit is a great dad and his brother Stripe is good fella as well
