El Nino = no rain
La Nina coming = no rain
It's never going to rain again. Lake Travis will be empty -
We've had both, stayed with Sam's. The prime beef is just as good as Costco, better paper products, better "professional" catering and cleaning products.
Electronics are about the same. -
Retail is what it is, but Home Depot and Lowes have pretty flexible part time positions.
The ACL bartender thing, there are several places in Austin that staff festivals, COTA, etc.. Gigs pretty March-October, plus there's the stadium and Moody

I can’t drive in this town anymore. There’s too many god damn people, there’s construction everywhere, people forgot how to drive after Covid and can’t stay in their lanes, and there are wrecks on every major highway at all times of the day.
I'm tired of being stuck behind dumbasses on their phones, riding their brakes and doing 40 in a 65

Why the fuck did they change the light at Lamar and MLK? I truly appreciate the changing of the left turn light from flashing yellow, yield, to only red stop. The back up and 4 cycles to get through that light are outstanding.

I'm heading up to Dallas next week for the Giants game. Looking for parking advice, tips etc.. thinking about maybe even tailgating a little bit.
Any advice would be apprecitated -

Austin and Hill Country will get nothing and like it
Why is it when they predict big rains, we get nothing and when they give a %30 chance, we get torrential floods?
-
Mine have so many blooms that it the limbs are bent over
-
We seem to get a lot of our big floods from the pacific, seems like Halloween 2013 was like that and maybe Blanco River flood too?

I know this thread is for good beer, but has anyone noticed that the Lone Star is empty at HEB? I've checked the Bar W HEB and the HEB Plus in Leander.
They've been out the past 2 weekends -

Opinions on Altstadt Oktoberfest beer. Noticed that HEB is carrying it. In past years I have enjoyed Sam Adams Oktoberfest beer.
I haven't had the Alstadt, but I highly recommend Real Ale's Oktoberfest. RIP Thirsty Planet, their Smittlefest was pretty damn good too.

Like said above water longer and less frequently
If you have a sprinkler system, set them to run early in the morning, like 3-4ish
I have bermuda, which is more draught tolerant then StA, but I run mine 1 day a week. Each zone 20 minutes, 6 zones. Then I run the cycle 3 times. 3:30, 5:30, 7:30. For the most part that prevents run off and 90% of my yard is surviving with out extra watering.
I would think if you could do something like that twice a week your StA would be surviving.
