  3. El Nino = no rain La Nina coming = no rain It's never going to rain again. Lake Travis will be empty
  4. We've had both, stayed with Sam's. The prime beef is just as good as Costco, better paper products, better "professional" catering and cleaning products. Electronics are about the same.
  5. Retail is what it is, but Home Depot and Lowes have pretty flexible part time positions. The ACL bartender thing, there are several places in Austin that staff festivals, COTA, etc.. Gigs pretty March-October, plus there's the stadium and Moody
  6. I'm tired of being stuck behind dumbasses on their phones, riding their brakes and doing 40 in a 65
  7. The spilt stuff my be fine now, but the rule of thumb for oak is a year.
  8. I hear Nuke school is a bitch though and then as a newb on the ship, you are still working shitty watches with the rest of the snipes

  10. Went a little South Texas style last night
  11. Why the fuck did they change the light at Lamar and MLK? I truly appreciate the changing of the left turn light from flashing yellow, yield, to only red stop. The back up and 4 cycles to get through that light are outstanding.
  12. I'm heading up to Dallas next week for the Giants game. Looking for parking advice, tips etc.. thinking about maybe even tailgating a little bit. Any advice would be apprecitated
  13. Is that pacific storm near baja coming our way?
  14. Got an inch on the west side of 78628
  15. Austin and Hill Country will get nothing and like it Why is it when they predict big rains, we get nothing and when they give a %30 chance, we get torrential floods?
  16. Mine have so many blooms that it the limbs are bent over
  17. We seem to get a lot of our big floods from the pacific, seems like Halloween 2013 was like that and maybe Blanco River flood too?

    Pizza

We were at the one on Burnet and they were serving jelly fish in 12 oz glasses and not the usual 16oz pint glasses

    Pizza

They raised beer prices and put them in smaller glasses too
  20. I know this thread is for good beer, but has anyone noticed that the Lone Star is empty at HEB? I've checked the Bar W HEB and the HEB Plus in Leander. They've been out the past 2 weekends
  21. I haven't had the Alstadt, but I highly recommend Real Ale's Oktoberfest. RIP Thirsty Planet, their Smittlefest was pretty damn good too.
  22. Lots of Charlie's past performances and live cuts here: https://www.radionb.com/knbtarchive I recommend highly!
  23. Like said above water longer and less frequently If you have a sprinkler system, set them to run early in the morning, like 3-4ish I have bermuda, which is more draught tolerant then StA, but I run mine 1 day a week. Each zone 20 minutes, 6 zones. Then I run the cycle 3 times. 3:30, 5:30, 7:30. For the most part that prevents run off and 90% of my yard is surviving with out extra watering. I would think if you could do something like that twice a week your StA would be surviving.
