This.  They also have a collection of talent that wasn't god's gift since the 7th grade.  We should be looking a lot more for the high 3 and esepcially 4 stars that only became known quantities their Jr, maybe even Sr year.  These are kids who have not spent 6-7 years getting their asses kissed and just being bigger/stronger/faster than everybody.  They know how to work, they've faced doubt and adversity in middle school/early HS and they are a shitload tougher mentally.

yessir.  we need to recruit dogs. I think our staff, particularly our defensive staff gets this

Thank you. It’s not about Aranda. It’s about our fan base creaming over Aranda without seeing similarity between Baylor 2020 and Texas 2021.

You can appreciate the job Aranda has done and still be optimistic about our future.

Lmao. If You still have a QB controversy this late, you don't have a QB worth a shit on the roster.

or your starter got his throwing hand stomped on just before the half and might not be able to throw

Dude, OU is holding on every single play on offense.  They’ve gotten away with whatever they want

not there. and Baylor has gotten far more favorable treatment.  that obvious pass interference no call was a potential game changer

rebounding was an issue game one and Gonzaga has a monster front court. they're also straight up better than we are, have more experience together, and are playing at home. pretty much everything points to a Gonzaga victory.

yeah, made that observation after game 1 that our Achilles heel would be rebounding.  I trust Beard worked on that, but still, we're short and not very stout.

Ha, that's a name I haven't heard in a while. His profile doesn't seem to show any UOVs to Texas but he and his mom attended a game at DKR (I think maybe Baylor) during the 2018 season. Some dumbass on the recruiting staff told him and his mom to sit in a couple of seats in the parent's section that apparently were occupied by the parents of a current player. Current player's parents show up, find Banks and his mom sitting in their seats, then apparently a heated argument ensues and Banks and mom get kicked out of the section. Momma Banks comes up to me (event staff) and chews me out for someone else's fuckup and makes sure to mention several times that her son is a top 100 recruit. Not sure how it resolved after I referred her back to the recruiting staff, but good times.

what a cluster fuck. this kind of shit is unacceptable and someone's head should be on a platter.

Just traded texts with a grad school friend who’s on the Aggie board. Jimbo is getting more money and staying. They’d like to hire Deion Sanders as an assistant

    Jimbo’s nut is now $100million

The Texas Longhorns are set to host several visitors in one of the most important recruiting weekends of the season.

Leading up to the weekend, there will be news and nuggets. This morning, IT brings the latest on a handful of targets.

    5-star Devon Campbell

IT made a stop at Arlington Bowie on Tuesday. The schools mentioned most with regard to the Campbell were Texas and Alabama. That’s not to say Oklahoma doesn’t have a legitimate shot. They do.

The 6-foot-3, 310-pounder will be in Austin this weekend with family members. The struggles on the field will not be a deciding factor for Campbell per a source.

USC is a school that has done very well with Campbell and family. The coaching uncertainty makes the final push tough for the Trojans.

The news of the day at Bowie was Campbell cancelling his OV to LSU. He’s very likely to schedule a final OV to Georgia. Texas A&M, Oregon and Florida are also working hard to get that final visit.

There has been some chatter about Campbell and Humble (Texas) Atascocita OL Kam Dewberry talking about the same school potentially winning out for them. Campbell’s decision will be independent of anyone else’s.

Gerry on his youtube update made a big point that he drove separately from his parents to aggie and that it would be interested to see if he does the same for TExas.  Gerry thinks the closeness of A&M where the parents can go to practices and games and return home easily is a factor.
