Buchanan basically has 100000 acre feet left in Conservation capacity.

Lake Travis has 300000.  In the last 10 days, Lake Travis has increased volume by just under 300000 acre feet.

It ain't the hand wringer some a y'all are making it, but...surly.

Well it ain't except your math is 24 hrs off. That matters.

The math is on their side, is all I am saying. For now.

I am 100% not saying LT will flood because of Buchanan releases. I am talking about managing the timing of the plug coming down the Llano and outflow from Buchanan through LBJ and Marble Falls. If they release a single cfs and people flood they will raise hell. Even if it was just the Llano that caused it. At this point I am thinking it wont be an issue. We should get the Llano plug overnight and if Buchanan releases, it will be tomorrow midday/afternoon.

I probably shouldn't have posted that. Like most posts. Live and dont learn.

  3. Agree but the fact there is 50k cfs flowing most of the afternoon all the way in junction bodes well. I agree though. Wish I had the chart for volume per foot. Once we get to around where we are it climbs exponentially.

  4. I am as critical of LCRA as anyone I have met, but I really dont envy the folks in charge of timing this all out to avoid catastrophe between Buchanan and Travis. Holy shit the peaks are going to coincide and whatever decision they make will be wrong. Tough situation and I hope it all goes as smoothly as possible.

  5. LCRA just sent an update to the marinas they may have to open Buchanan floodgates. Prepare accordingly.

If that happens, combined with this plug coming down the Llano that extends all the way to Junction is going to do wonders for LT. I am giving up on predictions but dont be surprised if it sails past 670 either way.

Goddammit. Double rep somehow. Well done. I am laughing my ass off.

This storm is really going to just rain straight down the Pedernales. Bring it on.

Buchanan watershed getting it right now. if it holds together Llano river and LBJ watershed are next, could make it's way into Travis after that. long line, horizontal across the highland lakes region.  should all be runoff at this point.  wow.

I stand by my 661 prediction! Lets fucking goooooo!

We got 4-5 inches total so up 14,000 gallons, at about 37,000 up from 23,000. That’s just above half full.  We’re pretty much set at this point. We will have excess over the next 12 months even if we only get half the rains we usually get.

Wish I had a system setup. We got close to 10" over the last week. The way we use water, we would be set. Wild how isolated this deal was.

Edwards aquifer up 3 feet … not surprised it isn’t more most of the water ended up in creeks rivers and lakes

Expected but good news none the less. It will come up more over the next week or so but slow soaking rain fills aquifers much better than 20" in 2 days. Things are still looking up.

Is your rainwater system full now?

Did anyone have or attempt to have a Central Texas tournament over the last weekend? Five Tool did in Zorn. Not sure if any games were played but families were made to drive to the field at least.

We played in the V-tool tourney. It was an absolute s-show. Played Thursday morning, then late on Friday. We got moved to San Antonio prospect park and played 2 games with the last starting at 9:45pm. The fireworks and gunshots were uuuuhhhh distracting.  Stayed in a hotel in San Marcos because we played in Zorn early Saturday. It ended up being rained out so we went home. Then drove all the way back Sunday morning to lose our first and go home. I was glad. It was his final tournament and we really need a break.

We need real leaders and not these fucking schmucks. What an absolute joke.
