  1. Not gonna say negative shit but whatever you can imagine with Ad's condition that would cause teams to skip may be why he is dropping. No word on attitude. Sucks but he has to do better.

Just when I was starting to hate the Chiefs again -- after enjoying the Chiefs with Derrick, Priest and Jamaal -- they re-start the Longhorn pipeline.

Guess I may starting secretly rooting again.

No love for Omenihu? Shiiit. That's lame.

My daughter is applying to be a lifeguard at the neighborhood pools. Hopefully it works out well

Don't they have to get certified still? I had to be a certified lifeguard for a job I had back in the day teaching sailing at a summer camp. I swim like a fish, but holy shit that course was brutal. I guess I was 15 when I did the course, it was not something I would have done if I knew what it took. I only did it because I got to drive a motorboat around all day, swim and teach sailing.

So, the total storage capacity of Lake Travis is just under two MILLION acre feet.  Excavation has varying costs -- can be as low as a few thousand an acre foot, to $20k per acre foot, and maybe more depending on topography.  Let's go with a conservative number like $10k per acre foot.  AND, you have to have someplace to dispose of all that removed earth/rocks (let's be clear, it's mostly rocks in Lake Travis, which is MUCH harder to excavate.

Let's say we wanted to add 10% to the LT capacity -- that's 200,000 a.f..  The excavation cost alone, at $10k a.f., would be $2 billion.  And that's before we've paid a penny to haul the rock away, much less paid for a place to haul it TO (200k a.f.....means that if LCRA bought 10,000 acres of land (a pretty big purchase), it would have to cover that land in spoil/rock TWENTY FEET HIGH.

    Large-scale excavation of a reservoir -- large enough to make a difference -- just isn't a cost-effective venture.

That's it. Turn Ranger loose and give them a year, they will do some damage. The real question is how do you pay for the haul off and where the hell do you put that much dirt? It will never happen.

My theory is that in the past 20 years 49 other states have been sending their crueler inhabitants to Texas. So no matter what the locals do, there's always another dollop of assholes moving in, buying hats and lone star decor. Howdy you guyss.

Dad of one of the kids on my sons baseball team was this guy. Fully decked out in patriotic or Texas centric gear everytime I see him. Talking to him one day he was gushing on Texas and shitting on a bunch of other states. I figured he was a lifer Texan that grew up on a rural farm/ranch the way he acted. Turns out he just moved to Texas in '22 from Southern California where he was born and raised. Yeehaaw there fakeass cowboy.

Outside of the "friend" excuse, which would involve him having to give a name, that would still fall under the reported stolen umbrella, no?

But it was his car that rear ended Sweat. So even if Burrell was a passenger in either vehicle, he would've presumably known who was driving his vehicle.

There was nobody at the scene. It was his car. Go ask him what happened.

If he is smart, his response is "lawyer"

The cops aren't going to investigate it above that. There is no way to prove a crime by him. Quit overthinking this. Do you not remember night rider? Kit is wild.

If it's been reported stolen is the only loophole I'm aware of. I would think that would be kinda hard to believe but if the dad is a copper...

Nope. No way to prove who was driving the car. It isn't a crime to let your friend drive your car. Also isn't a crime to go to sleep and have no idea what happened to your car when you were asleep in your bed. Cops can't prove shit. He won't have any repercussions from the law (assuming the witnesses stfu) unless you are talking about his dad. He will not like what happens to him if he has good parents.

  10. If I read that right, his dad is a cop. Can anyone prove he was driving his vehicle? That was how a buddy in hs got out of essentially the same deal. Rolled his truck while drunk. Fled the scene. They found his truck and he plead ignorance. Nothing came of it.

  11. In all seriousness, what a fucking stupid decision these guys made. So glad nobody was killed by this idiocy and hope the 'culture' Sark talks about ad nauseam can prevent this from happening more. Austin is too high visibility of a city for these guys to think they can get away with the bs like they could in the backwater parts of the sec.

  12. I got caught in the storm coming into Lakeway. Got home and don't see any damage. Hail was pea to grape sized. Very surprised my aluminum body truck didn't have a bunch of dents. Wind was atleast 40mph with a few gusts that had to be over 50mph.

Sunshine showers are cool, but sunshine hail storms are the new new. That is some odd shit.

  13. My sons 9u team is going to Houston next weekend. They are not a good team and I fully expect they go 3 and cue. I won't be there because I am coaching my oldest sons 12u rec team. They added an extra team so every team has 9 players and some only have 8 because players dropped out. It is a shitshow and we can't miss anything or we have to scramble for subs.

If Cook is smart, and I think he is, then he realizes he was behind the two fastest WR’s in the nfl draft on the depth chart, and is more than ready to carve out his legacy starting in 2024.

I saw an interview he did on a podcast and he pretty much said this. I think he will have a breakout year. He seems hungry and ready to shine.
