From the players perspective I've always felt they should be pushing for the highest minimum rather than a high maximum. Keep the standard deviation among players low. Force teams to compete for stars by competitive prowess rather than salary alone.

if Spo had a brain, he'd play Kevin Love a little more for inside rebounding, instead of playing Lowry so much . yeah i know it's different positions but adjust the lineup to get bigger because as Reggie said, Boston has dominated on the glass and inside defense.
I disagree with this take for the most part but I though they could have put love in on that last play to have a big in front of the in bounder. Love is a pretty smart player for that situation where his lack of quickness wouldn't be a huge deal.

If Herro is a chance to come back I'd much rather see the heat than Boston against Denver. I expect the nuggets to roll either of them but this Celtics team is annoying. Just frustrating as hell to see them out talent every team and just duck their own faces

Game 7 should be fun.

Butler dishing that off was weak as hell. Go here at the room and get the foul call at a minimum. Is he hurt?

I will rephrase. It's not decided by practicing physicians. Insurance companies can find people with medical degrees but no souls to sign off on their corporate policies. But those people do not need licenses or board certification.

Well I guess I misread the room on this one. I thought we were all assholes here. I thought we were in the trust tree. My bad.

Social media posts telling people he loved them then just a post that said bye. Prompted welfare check by authorities. Nothing of substance

Wife and I hit 20 years today. Congrats to you for also choosing to celebrate Bob Dylan's birthday* with us.

The Heat need inspired play from Lowry and absolutely cannot have Strus, Vincent, and Robinson combine for 2/13 from 3. I can't imagine a scenario in which they don't eventually close out Boston just b/c winning 4 in a row in the NBA is hard. That said, Nuggets very likely to roll them up and smoke them.

My daughter is a competitive athlete who missed half her senior season to a minor but lingering overuse injury. It's been like living with a bear for weeks, just leave it in the cave or risk getting mauled. Every suggestion I made was turned into some insult or judgment rather than the desperate attempt to help that it was. Finally got her to go the gym with me last night and we spent an hour and change talking and laughing through our workout. It was like having my little girl back. I've missed that so much.

When I was much younger I would hate on opponents of my guys. As you age you kinda just mellow out and realize that sports are supposed to be an enjoyable part of life and not a miserable experience that someone is forcing you to endure.
Sounds like something a loser would say.

There are so many things technically wrong with that shot, but the result is the only thing that matters.

That would be awesome.

What did you say because it was embarrassing
It's in the post. This is the only other time I've mentioned him:
On 8/24/2022 at 6:41 PM, SilasCoade said:Wolves likely to pick late teens to early 20s for 2023. Odds of getting a valuable contributor at those spots is not bad. Superstar? Not likely. Equal value to Gobert? Easy.
In the last 5 years alone you've got: Tyrese Maxey at #21, Matisse Thybulle at #20, Brandon Clarke at #21, Huerter at #19, DiVincenzo at #17, John Collins at #19, OG Anunoby at #23.
You can argue that Gobert is a better player than all those guys if you want, but none of them are getting benched in the playoffs b/c they are such matchup liabilities. The point isn't really that you could replace Gobert 1:1 with that draft pick. The point is that the value Gobert brings is not commensurate with his contract. It's made even worse value when you sacrifice the chance to get a cheap young contributor to help your budding superstar when he hits his prime. Gobert is a 31 year old big with next to no offensive game making $40-got-damn-million-American-fucking-dollars per year. Utah giving him that contract was kind of dumb but they were sort of over a barrel. MN taking on that contract and giving up a haul of picks for it is ludicrous.
The only reason this desperation signing makes any sense is if you already know ANT is going to the Lakers first chance he gets.
Again, a post I stand by 100%. I don't need to be embarrassed by that take b/c 1) it was based on available statistical evidence at the time I made it, and 2) this past year proved me correct. Contrast that to your take that Durant played like shit in the playoffs when he was the second best player on a thin team and almost averaged 30 PPG against teams specifically scheming to take him out of the game from the jump while getting very little help from the refs.

I want to forget about your donte divenccizo take but I can’t. Something something best shooter in the league or whatever it was. Yea you’re not exactly a bball guru either, but who is in this thread?I absolutely never said DiVincenzo was the best shooter in the league or anything remotely close to that.
On 8/24/2022 at 8:50 PM, SilasCoade said:I stand by that analysis 100%. Look at their per minute production in the playoffs this year and it's very close to equal. Yet one is on a disastrous albatross of a contract that will prevent the club from achieving anything in free agency and cost draft picks that will prevent the club from building through the draft for years to come. The other is named Donte.

Bro when the fuck did I say anything about TMac.
Your grasp of the English language is tenuous as is your grasp of reality.
To be fair, I have had to double take a couple times to distinguish ztejas from zeus, but that's mostly cuz I'm old AF and refuse to get stronger bifocals to read with.

The 92 is superfluous. There is only one Dream Team and it would beat the fuck out of every Olympics team since then.

I want to forget about your takes on the Gobert trade last summer but then you go and say some absurdly stupid shit like this and I'm just like, how many chromosomes do you even have?

very uncharacteristic game by Jokic.

Denver playing the worst offense of the playoffs with Joker sidelined by ref interference and Lakers unable to get the lead? They should be worried.
