We’ve K’d 7 to their 3, and issued 5 walks, they’ve walked 0.
Hitting is cold tonight, but their pitching has been pretty good.
-
His control is not so good to first!

Wait until you find out his season ERA
Well, it’s seems pretty good tonight…typical.

You sound surprisedHaha! Yeah, sad really.

This guy is throwing a 94 - 95 fastball, and has a good curve with good control out of their bullpen, really? Looks better than our starters.

So 2 batters 2 walks. Good bullpen work.

Biggest issue with the offense is they just go into green light mode too often rather than making a pitcher earn the out
This team, for the most part, sure likes to chase the high cheese. Which leads to strikeouts and a lot of pop ups.
-
Nice to turn the tables on these asshats. Sure would be nice to take the series tomorrow.

Seeing eye single.

No lead is safe with this bullpen.

So I guess Ace is now the “ace” of the staff… Quite the staff Pierce has built.

Both. When we pitch well we can’t hit. When we hit well we can’t pitch. Been the story of the entire season.

Definitely seems to be the case.
But, imo, the pitching seems to be down this year. Only one strong starter, no real closer, and an inconsistent bullpen that struggles to throw strikes at times.
Hitting is inconsistent but decent overall.
Hopefully they can put them both together more this season.

We lost to Washington because we couldn’t hit worth dick, lost to Baylor Friday night when a lefty throwing 86 from Lake Travis shoved it up our anus and scored 1 run tonight against A&M Corpus Christi.
For whatever bitching we do about the pitching we have a top 25 ERA in the country and most of our losses lately have been because we look like shit at the plate.
So what’s been the bigger overall problem this year hitting or pitching?

They have 4 runs on 5 hits. 3 of which came in the 2nd on a 3 run bomb off Selvig.
It’s just a bad night overall, but the point was our bullpen isn’t great. Tonight there's was better. It happens in baseball, but the pitching this year sucks.
-
So our bullpen comes in throwing 86 to 87 with poor control. But their bullpen is throwing low 90’s with good control? Seems about right.

Personally I would like to see Aggie lose every game in every sport they play, but I think UH is in trouble in this one. They just don’t have the depth to withstand the foul trouble.
-
Aggies getting all the calls. It’s hard to get them in foul trouble because they are so deep.
-
Disu missing everything, just like game against Col St.
-
Hunter is best when attacking the basket, using his athleticism, and possibly getting fouled.
-
Complete brick show. Disu forcing everything.
-
Interesting choice to bunt. I guess it’s better than swinging at chest high fastballs.
-
I thought UW wasn’t supposed to be good hitting team. Maybe it’s the pitching…
-
Aggressive and confident Hunter is lethal.
-
Shedrick struggles badly defending the pick and roll. Just not quick enough to recover.

This is what I have seen this season. The pitching staffs’ of several of the teams we have played this year are as good or better than what we are trotting out on the field. Of course, how much of that is a result of our “pitching coach”?
That’s not the expectation or the norm at Texas.
