Any of you fuckers going to the game? I know Chitwood and I will be drunk by 9am Saturday.

Apparently the game is sold out. Section 100 row 34  and beautiful Milan Puskar Stadium. What kind of beer do they serve?

    I'll be there.

I know they have Coors Light and Miller Lite.  And some other stuff like Blue Moon.

I hope that in the real world of recruiting, getting a quality education and playing for a top 10 football team, a red ass aggy mama will take a back seat.

The phrase real word and aggy aren't usually used in the same sentence...

Rumor is that Mookie Cooper got kicked out of his high school.

    His mom posted this:

If he did get kicked out of school, seems more probable that he was a problem than "people working against him."  Defending your kid is human nature, but, blaming others when your kid screws up is terrible parenting.

Regardless of where Ringo goes, I think he's a good dude.  I think he genuinely likes both Texas and Georgia.  Unlike Evans, he gets that it's okay to speak positively about multiple schools.

    In the Big 12 they were 113-86 overall (0.57). 5-20 (0.20) against P5 teams OOC, 69-62 (0.53) in conference, and 39-4 (0.91) against G5 and FCS.

In the SEC they are 60-31 overall (0.66). 6-5 (.55) against P5 teams OOC, 30-26 (0.54) in conference, and 24-0 against G5 and FCS.

7 out of 16 years they finished above .500 in conference in the Big 12.

2 out of the 7 years in the SEC.

40% of their wins since they took their ball and went home have come against G5 and FCS.

    24 / 60 = .4

  7. NFHS rules allow for an additional 15 yards on top of the 15 yard pass interference if it ruled intentional, but, as a high school official in Pennsylvania, I have never seen it called.  I think most coaches and players don't even know it exists.  I can't imagine to how many people would lose there minds if their team was penalized 30 yards.

I don't think Texas UIL uses NFHS rules for football, so I don't know if the have it.

As a slight point in his defense, he was playing Tackle at the UA game. He’ll be a guard in college and likely would’ve fared better there. He’s definitely a low-ceiling, already-developed  guy.

I think he’s good enough already that he’s a decent take, but I’m not a big fan of him, Parr, and Majors with only one actual tackle in the class.

I’d prefer one less of Parr/Majors replaced with a tackle if were only taking 4 OL in 2020.

    +1

I think he's a take.   I agree that he's a low ceiling kind of guy.  That said, at guard, you need some guys that are high floor, low ceiling.  You want depth on the OL.  This guy is that at a minimum.

Never realized how ridiculously racist the Illini mascot is. Might as well be chief wahoo drinking fire water and smoking a peace pipe while scalping a white devil

Eff that noise.  The attempt to remove every reference to Native American culture and history is the true racism.  I can see the issue with stuff like the Redskins, but the Illini, Seminole and Sioux are proud parts of geographical history of the schools they represent.

I wasn’t a flippant retard at 17 or 19. I took stupid risks, I didn’t falter on commitments and I sure as fuck didn’t cry home to mommy.

I absolutely loved the freedom of moving away and I sure as heck didn't have it as nice as a Five Star talent scholarship football player at Texas.  Having zero responsibility and everything paid for must be SO stressful...

Hmm, Cook's ceiling is "almost as good as Holton Hill?"

Wouldn't it be more appropriate to say Cook's ceiling is almost as high as Holton Hill?

Let's just hope Cook doesn't get as high as Holton Hill.

Zach Smith is our one-and-only RB1, and we can't credibly recruit EJ as a RB2 when plenty of other programs are going after him as a RB1 and would take him as the sole RB in their class.

Whoa. You think Herman can get that commitment?  That would be the most surprising flip ever!
