  1. Thanks for the explanation.

How do they battle the trend (I'm assuming, too lazy to look up numbers) to digital downloads vs physical games?  The consoles have captive customers, and in 10-15 years if the vast majority of games are digital that just leaves PC gamers as customers.  I guess if they can acquire Steam or create a better service and take over Steam's customers that could work,  but Valve (the owner of Steam) is worth ~10B (according to Forbes) and GME's market cap currently is $10B at the inflated short squeeze stock price.

Getting into the PC hardware business is interesting, but seems like a lot of competition.  Also, the secondary market for games will likely dry up with the shift to all digital games.

Plus, aren't most if not all of the physical games already on Amazon, which also offers same day delivery in many areas?

planned pivot and becomes the defacto Amazon of video game industry

I've seen this mentioned other places as well, and apologies if explained earlier in the thread, but how does GME become the Amazon of the video game industry?  If it wasn't for Reddit/short squeeze, how would GME be a fundamentally sound long investment?

WTI Holds Big Losses After Surprise Crude Build

Crude prices crashed today, extending recent losses with WTI back below $58 at six-week lows amid dimming prospects of a steady recovery in demand from Europe to India.

“The weakness in crude prices isn’t likely to go away in the coming weeks, even as U.S. refinery utilization recovers to pre-storm levels,” said Fernando Valle, a Bloomberg Intelligence analyst.

“There is still the resurgence of Covid-19 in Europe and Asia, and refinery maintenance in China and these are likely to keep international demand weak for U.S. crude.”

Tonight's API-reported inventory data will give us the next trend direction

    API

    • Crude +2.927mm (-900k exp)

    • Cushing -2.282mm

    • Gasoline -3.728mm

    • Distillates +246k

After four straight weeks of builds, analysts expected crude stocks to draw this week, but once again (if API is right) we saw a crude build. Gasoline stocks drew down once again.

WTI broke below a key technical level today and was hovering around $57.50 ahead of the API print and was unexcited by the data.

“The swing lower was triggered by the deteriorating near-term demand outlook in the face of still hampered refineries, surging interest and renewed European lockdowns,” Bart Melek, head of commodity strategy at TD Securities, said in a note.

“With prices breaking below the 50-day moving average during the session, technical traders may well take WTI lower still.”

Finally, we note that overseas buying isn’t expected to recover any time soon. China, the largest customer for U.S. oil, slowed its intake after purchasing heavily in recent months. Local producers are also competing with traders that have amassed large quantities in storage across the world and are looking to offload their supplies since it doesn’t pay now to store oil and sell in the future.

Also, I've been wanting a good wing sports bar to open up in FW (Pluckers, please) so when I drove by the old Stirr location and saw them putting up a sign for a wing sports bar I was excited.  Then I went to their facebook page and see it's just another bottle service place (with wings).

Also yall have any recs for golf that don't break the bank?

Bali Hai isn't the best course (but it's not bad either) that's pretty affordable and really convenient.  Right across from the airport, south of Mandalay Bay.  5 min cab ride from any strip hotel.

  6. I've never listened to Randy Rodgers on the Ticket before, and I started tuning out of Band of Your Life, but I happened to be listening this morning.  How can the lead singer of a semi popular band be so devoid of personality?  What a beating.  Most overrated band is TLC?  Also, he dropped a "fuck" that didn't get dumped.
