The most depressing thing is that literally ONE WEEK AGO, we executed a masterful 13 play, nearly 7 minute drive to end the game.

That drive contained 4 completed passes totaling 55 yards, including a first play pass for 14 that put the defense on its heels.

It also contained ZERO incomplete passes.

This exact same team just showed that they are capable of executing a drive like this, and the Head Coach still chooses to turtle when he has the game on the line.  Disgraceful.

    he out mensa'd himself

You can stream any lhn game on reddit streams.  All you need is a laptop or phone/tablet and the right cable to connect to your tv.   Its super easy and high quality.  If you only watch the lhn for a handful of games, I wouldn’t sweat losing the channel.

LHN Baseball games also? Never tried streaming off reddit.  Hell I don’t even know how to use reddit. Lol

At 14-0 I think the wheels did come off but then went back on.  I still can't fathom that KState beat OU.  It's one of those situations that can only be explained by "a wizard did it."

Ou isn’t very good either. Did you watch that Texas ou game? We out shityed them. It was two ugly teams.

  4. On a side but similar note

i do this shit every year and can never remember.

How much generally are corn dogs and beers in tickets? Seems like I remember 12 for a fletcher dog and 10 for shiner at their tent? Am I in the ball park? Seems like after 25+ years of doing this I’d remember this crap.

  5. I posted several questions and concerns back in this thread about switching from directv to streaming.

I have since pulled the plug. I have Apple TV 4K and use PlayStation Vue for “normal tv” stuff. I get lhn, golf network, nfl network, any college game I want to watch and the couple stations miss Eugene likes to watch. PlayStation vue is ok as far as streaming quality. As noted above the on demand and dvr have a few bugs and the TV guide is a little annoying but over all it works just fine. I love the multi station viewing also for football games. We also have Netflix, Hulu and hbo now. And of course ESPN plus.

All in I’m about half price of what we were paying with all the directv bells and whistles.

    Not missing directv at all

I am completely fascinated by 70s/early 80s NYC. I love to watch documentaries about it and especially love street photography of it. One of my favorite films is Taxi Driver and after I saw it when I was 17, I have been fascinated by that era of NYC.

Can you expand on which documentaries you liked please?

I'd put a lot of blame on Herman for going full on turtle mode with 9 minutes left in the game up 13. You have a Heisman candidate 3rd year starter QB and your defense is decimated with injuries. Go out and win the fucking game.

I completely agree with this.  I utterly despise that conservative run the clock shit. Especially with our caliber of qb and receivers.

Our country property has a barn with attached living space. Mrs CL uses it as a remote office about 1-2 days a week. The previous owner and his wife lived there. We don't. We lease the pasture out and have an ag exemption on the property taxes.

A couple of months ago Mrs CL offhandedly mentioned that someone from the appraisal district had stopped by and asked to look around and take some pictures. I got pretty upset with her and said that was a bad idea to ever let them onto the property and I was promptly told to "Quit being so paranoid. We have nothing to hide."

Got this in the mail today:

They are (properly) reducing our ag exemption by 1 acre to account for the "existing homestead" that has been there for 17 years and isn't visible from the highway in front. My guess is that the former owner built it that way on purpose and never told them about it and never offered to let them inside.

I'm thinking that it ultimately doesn't cost us a lot of money, but that is offset by the fact that it was completely avoidable.

THEY DO FLY OVERS ALSO  NOT COMPLETLY AVOIDABLE   I WOULDNT BE TO UPSET WITH HER

Jesus, must be nice after a hard days work to grab a drink, go out on the back patio, and look out over a beautiful golf course field of dirt and dead grass.

LOL  my first thought was "damn  look at that shit hole around it."  I wouldnt pay $300k for that house there.

  11. Man. I’m not a huge fan of the salt remnants all over the place in side but it sure is fun. I have the first one. Think the last and greatest uses less salt. Laser sight sounds good also. Does that work well? Hitting up amazon now.
