that is the biggest chickenshit move i have ever seen.  walk about with cowboy legends to avoid being booed worse than anyone in history.  what a fucking pussy, god i hate that guy.  i hope everyone still boos his ass at every turn

When the fans start booing, it's not like people are going to think we are booing former Cowboys players.

Maybe if the NFL stays insistent on keeping Thursday night football, which they just signed a new 5 year deal with Fox on, then they should always schedule a team on Thursday that has to trek to London the following week.

    That's not a bad idea. +rep

I think the league would have to look into block scheduling for them.  3 games at home, then 3 on the road..etc..or something like that.

And set up a good locale in the states for them to stay and train on the American block weeks.

    Maybe even Jacksonville.

    At birth.

Darnold is the only QB I would consider taking with the first overall pick. I can't see any logical justification for the Browns picking anyone but Darnold, Barkley or Chubb.

He definitely has the fewest flaws followed by Rosen.

  5. Heard on the radio this morning that the reason BowelMovement isn't giving interviews is because he landed some documentary deal that required his reactions on draft day be "exclusive".  I don't think that's a character concern.  There is PLENTY of reasons to knock BM's character, but this isn't one of them.

Jesus Christ man this his laughable. “Next year”? There’s no way Seattle would do that. They’d be stupid to do it.

Is this your first draft?  That's a pretty normal thing to do.  A 2nd next year is the equivalent to a 3rd this year on most value charts.  A second next year allows them to save face and it costs Dallas less to pull the trigger.

Seattle is in a situation where they are either going to trade him or keep him for one year before he leaves and they get nothing other than potentially a long hold out.  They are lucky they have a trading partner.

Wait...you think this is a good safety class?  There really aren’t many quality ones in this class.

Other than the fact there are 2 that are likely going in top 10..

Callaway failed his combine drug test. Couldn't even get it together for a date that he knew. No thank you

We have 10 picks so spending a late one on Callaway could be a good move.  His off the field problems are basically the only thing wrong with him.

I wouldn't do a trade for Earl that does not include a swap for Cole Beasley, and possibly a pick no earlier than the extra 4.

The Cowboys need an infusion of young talent and no big risk factors.

I like the idea of taking risks in the 5th and beyond.

  9. So the pundits (non-espn) are thinking Vander Esch and James Daniels are the highest probability.

Harold Landry sliding would also be a pick if he somehow makes it past 14.

    ...

If WR isn't taken in the first 3 rounds..  Antonio Callaway would be a very tempting pick.

My love affair with Vea is rapidly diminishing. I just don’t think he’s ever going to give you a pass rush, and if he can’t, he’s not worth a 1st rounder. Sign Hankins for gods sake.

Guy hasn't even been to a NFL practice and you have already decided he can't rush the passer.

If he's there at 19 he's the pick.

The Cowboys have too many holes to fill to pay the price Earl will require in both picks and salary. If they were close to Superbowl contenders that would be another thing.

I think they are closer than you are willing to give them credit for.  A lot of shit had to go wrong last year for them to end up where they did.

What do we think the true price of Earl will be before the draft? Does a 2nd and a 5th or something like that get it done? If so, I can't imagine a better impact player to help the defense. That guy would be the brain of the defense and a force multiplier.

Dak won't be a bargain forever.

I've seen 2nd and then some as being the advertised price but I think it's way too expensive for how old he is and the fact we will have to sign him to a new deal.  I'd have no problem with a 2nd next year and maybe a 4th this year. I want to keep pick #50 this year.

Todd Archer wrote this and gives the #1 reason if Vea is there at 19 they must take him.

    http://www.espn.com/blog/dallas-cowboys/post/_/id/4766204/cowboys-have-built-solid-defensive-line-but-cant-stop-now

The Cowboys have to think about the future as well. Seven of the 13 defensive linemen on their roster have contracts that expire in 2018, with four set to become unrestricted free agents.

That's a very odd way of saying we have 4 out of 13 are becoming unrestricted free agents next year. Ealy.. Lawrence and Irving are expiring this year and expired last year..  Not particularly worried about it.   That's about average that you'd have the entire d-line have their contracts expire every 4 years.

I'm on board with Vea but I don't think it's a must have.
