  1. My man this is just a dumb take. Hell in their press conference CU mentioned exposure/ recruiting in Houston and Ohio multiple times. But back when the four were add, taking up the most oft-discussed expansion target on PAC message boards (Houston) along with 3 other new teams in new markets absolutely stabilized the Big XII to a degree beyond what simply adding BYU and UCF alone would have done.
  2. Adding the four is what allowed the Big XII to stick together, stabilize, and start to build momentum. I honestly have no idea how that's not abundantly obvious.
  3. Dumb take. Without taking those two (along with BYU and UCF) the Big XII wouldn't be in the position to get CU + any others today.
  4. No conference has a CFP autobid.
  5. New market. Nothing to suggest Utah is a better overall long-term investment when you already have BYU.
  6. Swap Arizona for Utah. New state/ market, elite basketball.
  7. Should be able to watch the CU meeting here: https://cu.new.swagit.com/views/92/
  8. 3pm mountain
  9. Makeup game for one that was cancelled during COVID
  10. I'll miss the PAC, same as I miss the original Big XII (and the Big 8 and SWC for that matter). , the 11-team B1G, and the original SEC. Regionality is what made college football great, IMO. But oh well.
  11. After a year of waiting, finally, the chaos begins.
  12. Ignore me. I was reading too fast and thought you were saying CU wouldn't be in the Big XII until '35.
  13. CU 24/7 guy who is very conservative about mentioning anything on this for the past year.
  14. Where they gonna go? They don't bring enough money for the B1G or SEC IMO (and I'm a Buffs fan - did my MS there).
  15. That's the whitest shit I've ever seen
  16. "Go watch the doc" is not an answer, it's deferring away to say "well uh, this convinced me, and I can't adequately explain it, but it says what I like, so it must be true!" Similar to the delusional aggies who believe "2000 Mules" is some brilliant piece of detective work. I'm not saying your doc is bad (I haven't seen it). I'm just saying if you think it's some incredible evidence, you should be able to explain, or at least summarize, what that evidence is.
  17. Fair enough. Tigers is also overused in sports (SEC has three sets, and Clemson is just next door).
  18. Ya. Strikes me as cheesy. I'd still take it over the inanimate object of airplane.
  19. It's subjectively worse, not objectively. Perhaps you got those two words mixed up. It's bad, but slightly less awful (in my subjective opinion).
  20. Random note: there is not a lamer mascot in sports than being named after an airplane
  21. Ya I saw the reports on the woman (I live in Montana). But the bear in the original video is definitely in Alaska, which makes a huge difference - the coastal bears, by virtue of living in high-density populations within a resource-dense environment for thousands of years, have evolved to be dramatically more chill/ tolerant than inland grizzlies, which occupy much more resource-deficient habitats by comparison.
