  1. Mine has some cool looking alpacas on it wearing Peruvian-like clothing. My old one was a Welcome mat that had a fall motif, but that one is now on the patio instead of at the front door.
  2. The only body cam videos were from officers responding to the officer involved shooting.
  3. I believe he said it was from 3am the morning after, so several hours after he was shot.
  4. Judge not allowing questioning about the irregularities in how Guyger was treated by police after the shooting (DPA president directing the in-car video recording to be halted, her being removed from the squad vehicle, etc.).
  5. If that is your source, you're going to be behind the ball. We have a live stream from the courtroom available. https://www.nbcdfw.com/news/local/Watch-Live-Amber-Guyger-Murder-Trial-Day-2-561148091.html
  6. It amazes me how some people can float through life so blissfully unaware of their surroundings. My wife is like that too. I swear she thinks I'm Sherlock Holmes with an uncanny ability to deduce things, but really, I'm just aware of my surroundings and able to connect the dots. Doormat would have been a dead giveaway for me, even after a very long day at work.
  7. Yeah, I hope the jury is reading that the same way we do. She (allegedly) made a mistake, but in the moment, she could have taken actions to mitigate the damage she caused, but instead, she goes full hysterical "I THOUGHT IT WAS MY APARTMENT!!1!" while the poor innocent bastard breathes his last breath.
  8. idk, her fellow officers don't seem to be trying to cover for her in their testimony so far. In fact, it seems like they're trying to distance themselves from her, imho.
  9. It's been explained before, but the circumstances of this case do not meet the statutes for manslaughter.
  10. What kind of odds are we getting on whether or not her defense attorney has a heart attack during the trial?
  11. Looks like Chad Briscoe lost some weight.
  12. Probably hoping for some payback after that one guy went Rambo on the police a few years ago.
  13. https://dfw.cbslocal.com/2019/09/17/dallas-police-association-amber-guyger-murder-trial-delayed-safety-concerns/
  14. Which Bush brother is that on the right?
  15. This guy knows what's what. There was more sauce in the pan. It ended up on my plate and then in my belly.
  16. Whoa, whoa, whoa, did you forget the dead guy is black and the cop is a white lady? Dallas isn't burning one way or the other. But seriously, there should be riots if this dumb bitch walks, but I have little faith that this even moves the needle for Dallas residents. Most will probably be more pissed about their taxes paying the eventual civil settlement than whether any justice or lack thereof is achieved in criminal court.
  17. Strip steak au poivre with fried green tomatoes and garlic toast
  18. I didn’t like Bloody Mary’s until I lived in WI. Damn, I could really go for a Spotted Cow about now too.
  19. Lock thread. This is the answer, right here. Any biscuits and gravy I’ve ever had that I didn’t make were disappointing at best, glue at worst. I’ve finally conditioned myself to skipping that disappointment whenever I see it on a brunch menu.
