Cool thread hijack by the new poster with a nonstop stream of alt-right propaganda.

So its like CR where it’s a nonstop stream of leftist propaganda? He’s posting videos and news about what’s happening around the country and because it doesn’t make your “team” look good you call it propaganda and beg moderators to silence him. Fucking pathetic

Who is paying these paid agitator fucks?

This is gonna sound like a joke but I’ve seen that a lot of them are doing it for free, a group known as “beta cucks 4 lyfe”, working at the direction of online “mistresses” that feed their humiliation fetishes in exchange for going out and creating chaos.

Or just wrapping it up by 5 or 6PM.

Do you think violence and rioting is not happening during the day? I know a lot of it is happening at night so they can hide behind the darkness but it’s going on during the day too and it’s only going to get worse. any normal people that are peaceful need to temporarily tap out in my opinion

They do that with voting already, right?

I believe so, and I also think that certain felonies never cause you to lose your voting rights. Like maybe a state jail felony where you don’t even actually go to prison or even state jail

    • For rioting and looting control citizens empowerment. Lethal force to protect life and property is authorized if civil unrest reaches a pre-defined point. This includes defense against mobs of rioters.

So this point here. What about the people who are not legally allowed to defend life and property? Meaning felons, violent or nonviolent. Many of the loudest anti-gun people are folks with felonies who do not have rights to own guns and protect their families. And I don’t blame them. I think anybody that commits a felony under the age of 21 should be given an opportunity to change your life and be crime free for let’s say 10 years and then have their rights to protect themselves and their family and their property restored completely.

Heroin was out of control in the 70s and crack was out of control in the 80s to early 90s.  Plus you had stuff like Cocaine Cowboys and Mariel boat lift in Miami where Castro flushed his prisons on America and Miami went from like 15 murders a year to 500.

Long sentences for drug crimes then started being a thing.  Then crack and heroin got more under control.  Now people are ODing on prescription drugs.  But there is not the same amount of attendant gang violence/turf wars over scripts.

The drug sentencing laws are absolutely racist comparing crack to powder coke.  But black community leaders and the congressional black caucus were big supporters of the mandatory minimums being put in place.  Because their communities were the ones being ravaged.  It was bipartisan and biracial in support.

I hate the war on drugs.  I prefer legalization and then treating abusers who want help.  It would be more humane.  It would cost less.  And we would not be warehousing nonviolent criminals.  We could free and pardon nonviolent offenders.  And have a whole lot of space for violent felons.  Who, in my opinion, can largely die in jail and it would not bother me much.

Not sure how my post about violent crime pivoted to the war on drugs but yeah I’m not a fan of the war on drugs either. Although, I can’t claim to predict the future on what that will be like if we end it. Will we designate drug “dealers”? Will there be molly and shroom  companies? Heroine stores? I’m not in a position in my life with enough free time to put the amount of thought that this deserves, but I’m sure that many people are.

  7. Also the cop who had his knee removed, if he did not react negatively to that, he should also be listened to. If he has any ill will towards officer zero for removing his knee then he should be removed from the force immediately

  8. There was a cop, I can’t find the video now but I think it was in Seattle, they were detaining someone on the ground and he removed another cops knee from the guys neck. Let’s call him officer zero. Vet him, get him on TV, let him speak and maybe put him into a position of leadership.

Here’s my fix in one sentence

    Protestors become police officers

Maybe that could’ve worked many many years ago. But do you not think that now, much of it would be about revenge?

Violent crime is about as low as it's been in 50 years.

I have not taken a deep dive into the statistics on that but I would definitely be willing to. I will say that my city is very violent and much of that violence is unchecked and unpunished. I have my doubts about the accuracy of the violent crime statistics as they are, but if they’re accurate that means that something is working at the top which I doubt many here would be willing to accept.

I’m not dismissing your position, but on this point you are wrong.

That is an actual functional mandate of the prison system.

But I’m sure in your next breath you may argue that our prison system is wrong and dysfunctional. So maybe responsibility should be redefined in order to fix something?

Decriminalizing a lot of bullshit nonviolent offenses would help a lot.  So would decriminalizing drugs, when the "WAR ON DRUGS" is perhaps the single greatest contributor to the erosion of the 4th Amendment and the protection of the public in history.

There's literally nothing a cop can't do to me, my car, my home, or my person, so long as he starts his report with "Based on my years of training and experience, I smelled the distinct odor of marijuana....."  Note -- that doesn't even have to be true.  It can be completely made up, but guess what, he's now made a record of probable cause, and my rights and protections as a citizen are now null and void, because he just transformed me -- with a single statement written on a report (and you bet his buddies will back him up) -- into a "suspect."

So, yeah, I suggest letting people get away with a lot of "crimes" because a lot of "crimes" are bullshit that protect nobody, but sure as shit provide a door through which law enforcement can drive a Constitution-smashing truck.

So more specifically are you referring to victimless crimes? If so, state that so that I’m not left to ponder whether you’re suggesting letting people get away with crimes where there is a victim. OR a potential victim: like flying down the road at 192 mph

    You bet.

And silly me.....I would like our police to be more responsible than criminals.  Because, you know, the cops shouldn't be criminals.

    Yeah, obviously

People clamor for fewer prisons, (so) they (can) then clamor about prison overcrowding.

do you suggest letting people get away with crimes? Or maybe you want to create fucking small towns otherwise known as rehabilitation communities or some shit?

Im not sure I understand. Criminals getting arrested is them taking responsibility for their actions.

No, it’s not. Criminals getting arrested is consequences for their actions. Responsibility would be ceasing to be criminals in the first place

When a cop commits a crime those charges should be escalated just like they are when a citizen commits a crime against a cop. They need to be held to a higher standard instead of always getting a free pass.

Take the power away from police unions. Cops should lose their pensions when found guilty of a serious crime.

Victims families should be paid from pension funds and not taxpayer money.

    Stop giving cops military equipment

Stop allowing cops to investigate cops for wrongdoing.
