Did you not read the article? The very last sentence mentions "the yell leaders".

Sure, but up until that point, the "yell leaders" could very well have been regular corps turds with megaphones. It was only after the freshmen dressed up like milkmen and started making those strange gyrations that the new aggy yell leaders became a turdition.

In Jimbo We Trust? I mean I thought In Fran We Trust kind of worked because Fran is one syllable. In Jimbo We Trust doesn't work at all.

Cuck would work. Or cock, for that matter.

The NK being immune to everything but dragon glass, having been created by dragon glass, makes some sense. But why can he also be killed by Valyrian steel? He’s immune to the fire of Valyrian dragons so it’s not simply some Valyrian magic shit.

I believe there is something even more special about Arya's dagger. If I recall correctly, in the episode at the Citadel where Sam learns about dragon glass, you can see an illustration of that very dagger in the book he is reading, under a discussion of dragon glass being incorporated into weapons.

Jon/Night King: "How did you sneak up on me?"

Arya: How did you survive a knife through the heart?

    Jon/Night King:  "I didn't..."

I think that my older sister shit herself a little after the 20 mile marker in her first marathon.

But it was in NYC, so there probably weren't any people around to see it/smell it at the finish line.

FULL DISCLOSURE: I wasn't there, so I can't verify that this actually happened.

You know, I never thought that we should allow ANY Rule #1 exceptions, but I'm actually okay with it this one time.

It's typically aggy that they mock the concerns of others whether college aged kids should be allowed to have firearms on campus, but completely ignore the dumbfuckery that is commonplace on their own campus.

From a couple of years ago (when you read this, remember that no one involved found it to be particularly odd at the time):

On October 5 a K.A. fraternity member brought his pet goat to the fraternity house and then shot it in the head with a 12 gauge shotgun in front of a group of pledges.

The way I heard it, he was told that the goat was actually a wildebeest, and when he found out it was just a plain old goat, he decided to put an end to fake gnus.

  6. So, when Perroni writes:

"This class of 23 prospects would be incredibly loaded. Several of them are likely to see huge jumps in their current rankings as well."

isn't he conceding that it isn't unusual for some players (whether they choose aggy or not), to like, you know, see HUGE JUMPS in their rankings, the longer the evaluation period goes on?

Sometimes we forget that Mackovic had us on a decent three-year run that gave us optimism for the future.  And with his success (in that limited sense of the term), if he had been even halfway likeable he might have survived the 1997 season.  But in addition to being a "carpet-bagging, interloping elitist wine snob" (to borrow ImissWallyPryor's term), the way he causally dismissed the UCLA embarrassment (something like "The fans lived with the win over Nebraska, they'll learn to live with this") only made his firing after a 5-7 disaster of a season that much easier.

And I mean "likeable" in the public persona sense of the word.  I actually met him once in Bellmont Hall during my senior year (1995-1996).  I was looking at the team photo waiting to head to class, and Mackovic comes up next to me and pats my shoulder and just starts chatting, making jokes about some of the players (I distinctly recall him making a crack about Curtis Jackson's eyes being closed).  He actually seemed like a really nice guy on a one-to-one basis.  But his stiff Midwestern personality just wasn't going to fit long term, not without a high level of sustained success.

He was probably hoping you would introduce him to your Mom, so he'd have someplace to stick that stiff Midwestern personality.

    Am I doing this right?

Fuck that noise.  It's obvious that we hit a home run on Bru's visit.

USC just hit a grand slam.  But after the umps did a replay review, they realized that a fan in the outfield interfered on the play, so the play actually turned into an out for USC.

    Yeah...I like your's better, Katfid.

Just once, once I would like to see a report that a recruit had a terrible time on a visit.

Like maybe any hit other than a home run?

"We really hit a ground-rule double on his visit!"

On the other hand, I guess you could say we only hit a double with Bru's visit, but still scored on multiple fielding errors...
