I have a car that I plan to sell imminently, after my visitor here completes a road trip with it.

Yesterday at 2AM my phone rings: "i need your insurance info for towing/roadside assistance.  the rear tire blew". All the tires are at 50% treadlife. Local shop says the tire is not repairable (I think they're just lazy to work on a tire with sound-deadening foam liner). AND they replace it with a budget'ish Nankang, which are now mismatched on the car.

Later at 6PM my phone rings: "im so sorry, the front tire just blew up". Tow truck guy also confirms this time it's a pretty big gash on the sidewall, so for sure irreparable. This new shop has a matching Michelin, but now we're paying a premium for a car that will be sold to a dealer next week anyway.

In all about $700 is going to be completely blown, because that expenditure can't be recouped when the car has a bunch of rubbers that are mismatched in age and brands. Kinda wish we had access to a Mexican shop who would throw on some used hoops for $20.

I was impressed he was able to maintain eye contact with Daddario; I’d have found it impossible to go stare at her glorious tits.

I would have found it quite possible, nay, probable.

TCU's struggles this year have been perplexing. They had a lot of guys returning off the Omaha team who just fell off a cliff offensively and on the mound.

    Can you imagine?

They even say that in the commercials.  How it's even a thing is a mystery to me.  My GI doc said they completely ignore anything it says.

Kate Couric pitching for them particularly galls me considering her husbands diet of colon cancer.

How did he prepare this?  Air fryer? Sautee?

Fraser at best is a 2nd stew. He’s a terrible manager, terrible teammate, and awful person in general.

    Well, not according to HIM!

Surgeon's ability to practice medicine are subject to approval by others, specifically hospital credentialing committees and licensing boards.  These privileges must by routinely renewed at which time their competencies are reviewed. Doctors are often forced into retirement in this way.  If Sawz decides he wants to perform surgery into his 80's, the credentialing committee must approve this.  If he fucks up and harms a patient, not only he, but entire hospital board and the members of that committees are subject to not just criticism, but significant legal action.

And the physician's professional liability carrier also has a say regarding whether they continue covering an aging physician.

Listening to Colin Jost’s audiobook “A Very Punchable Face”. He has had a very interesting life, and I would kill each and everyone one of you to have a drink with him.

Perfect.  While you do that, I'll entertain his wife.

^^ what producer thought "wow, what a great idea to have this person who is allergic to practically everything" on the show.

And what idiot contestant applicant thought it was a good idea either?  Oh, guess that would be Liz.  What a maroon.

3 pitchers take no-hitters in to the 7th tonight… but it’s the mighty A’s who end up with the best pitching line of the night.

allowed book-end singles to the Pirates (to lead off the game and with 1 out in the 9th before a game-ending double play).…in front of 3,528.

Wow.  SHSU will play in front of more fans than that tonight.
