That death rate is not at all representative of the age group impacted among students on college campuses. Theirs is closer to 0.03%.

Professors/Support staff perhaps, but the 3% is not the mortality number to use if discussing the 18-29 age grouping. This has been discussed at length with data on this very thread.

Not to say there aren't long term issues related to the virus but quit using 3% as a data point for college age mortality rates.

Again not advocating for playing CFB or even having campuses open, I am simply advocating for the better use of data and statistics in these discussions.

I was being facetious since math and I are forever enemies. Cunningham's law and all that.

Looks like The University needs to have some words with the Panhellenic Council.

The older members apparently signed a contract with UPC agreeing all bid day crap would not be in person or else they might lose official status... lmaooooo worked out pretty well

If I were the Big 12 I'd say we're going to continue moving forward and will discuss with the remaining conferences how to best proceed together and allow the option of retreating to Spring later in the year if it ends up not working.

People die and can be forever impacted if it ends up "not working"

Imagine being dumb enough to give aggy $24,000 a year.  Then imagine being dumb enough to think doing so would make aggy more likely to a win a national championship.  And then imagine stopping all that because black players aren't ok with a guy nicknamed "Negro Killer" having a statute right in the middle of campus.

This guy went full aggy. Never go full aggy.

also imagine writing all of that knowing damn well you lying and not really giving 24k a year

Hopefully he learned from this mistake and turned things around.  Which is what bothers me so much about this cancel culture - no road to redemption.  Ever.  Many of these are just kids doing stupid shit.  At the perfect age to sit down with the aggrieved and listen to them.  Understand why this is so offensive.  Create allies, not enemies.  Do it offline.  No circus.  No social or conventional media.

I def agree with everything you mentioned about cancel culture except the "kids doing stupid shit"... they were grown men. It seemed like they might have learned and grew from this...it appears they were given second chances based on their linkedin pages.

It doesn’t matter whether it is.  It doesn’t matter if he starts up a neo Nazi student group. Racially motivated hate speech is protected speech.  I’d like to see K State kick him out.  Because this kid is just the type ot asshole who wants the publicity and will sue.

The OU frat students a few years ago were expelled but didn’t sue.  They didn’t want any more attention.

Not to get too offtopic but didnt one end up graduating from UT?

Back in the 90's I had I a dark blue shirt with a burnt orange TEXAS across the front; it looked surprisingly and ridiculously good, but I'm still not sure what marketing expert came up with including a non-school-color

You may not be aware, but we are the #1 merchandise seller in college sports. Part of that comes from the consistency of the brand. We don't muddle our own brand. We don't need to.

Cool so adding a new jersey would potentially increase sells and further separate us from #2

aggy should remove the statue...keep the podium...let those wanting to keep the statute (the 12th man)....take turns standing on the podium as Sully.  Whoop!

100 year old tradition the moment it starts.
