  1. I’m guessing it’s either coaching or fisting since you keep posting.
  2. Don’t you understand that Golding’s coaching is directly responsible for points allowed, but pick sixes have nothing to do with scheme or coaching.
  3. Absolutely they can. I am certainly not saying Bama’s talent is a detriment. However, I think Golding’s defensive schemes would get more adjusted to the spread if he were preparing for it every week.
  4. Agreed, the point being there are red flags with all these guys. Arnette is young and virtually unproven. Muschamp was 5-7 his last year here, and has strung together several shittastic seasons since. Dan Quinn has been in the college game in several years. Freeman, who went to ND, did his damage at the G5 level. they all have red flags, but they are all still regarded as really good coaches. We are going to be okay with any of these.
  5. So I am wrong about Golding, but Arnette and Muschamp are much better? Arnette’s defense was worse against the same schedule as Bama, and Muschamp’s D was especially bad against the spread during his last stop in Austin.
  6. While Golding would not be my first choice, I still find it amusing that the Golding haters are basing their hate on Bama’s inability to stop spread offenses. This entire argument is based off the results of two games, both of which were won by the Tide. Alabama’s defensive roster is built with players who were recruited to stop the run up front and play physical man coverage on the backend. I trust that if Golding were to come to Texas, we would stockpile players who are more suited to stopping the spread, since that would be the offense we would face at least 9 times next year.
  7. He promoted Lupoi to DC to avoid losing him. Everyone knew that was a risk.....and even then, Alabama played for a NC. Holding, by all accounts is a good coach and His stats are inflated a bunch because Alabama’s offense scored often.
  8. This is not close to a “Tim Beck” level fuck up. Do you honestly think Nick Fucking Saban would willfully employ someone as incompetent at their position as Tim Beck?
  9. Agreed...I’m trying to trust the process, but it is increasingly difficult when I can’t figure out what the process is.
  10. I don’t even want to know how you found this out.
  11. We don’t need a TE coach. Brewer is a lunch pale coach on the field kinda guy.
  12. It was more like the classic Robert Earl Keen song Front Porch. That thread symbolized everything that is great about this site, and everything that is wrong with this site in only 900+ short pages.
  13. he should peruse the "Shit I've cooked lately" thread. Those guys stay on topic and generally only post Shit they've cooked lately.
  14. Poetic justice for those two assholes recruiting for LSU while on a trip to Texas
  15. Spoiler alert, those aren’t Mexicans, they’re Indians.
  16. I expect Bijan to rush for about 4 Watsons this game.
  17. so FWK likes us again? Now we know for sure that the bags are about to start dropping.
  18. Why would this be a bad thing? (I mean aside from the 1 nut part)
  19. Look at it this way. Sarkisian is regarded as an offensive genius and superb play caller. (that is better than what we just had with Yurchich and Herman) Flood is widely considered one of the best o line coaches in the country. (Hand....really?) Gideon, is a bright up and comer, but young and full of enthusiasm. (Jay Boulware was a toad) Bo Davis, at minimum, is a coaching equal to Giles, but runs circles around his lazy ass on the recruiting trail. In my opinion, if he stops hiring, his staff would still be light years ahead of Herman or Charlie, and on par or better than Mack's as well.
  20. Well judging by his lifestyle, it won't be long.
