Won’t happen but Sark needs to make himself a de facto OC and Recruiter. Hire a GM-type to take some off-field HC work off his plate and free up time to focus exclusively on the offense/QBs. Replace PK with a DC who brings more fire and leadership (hello Muschamp).

We know he’s a good OC but he obviously can’t spend as much time there right now. He needs to change that to at least get one side of the ball humming. I don’t even want to see him on the sideline when the D is on the field. He should be at the bench talking to the QBs and game planning the O.

Basically, know what you’re good at and take advantage of it.

so he should go back to being an OC instead of a HC. got it.

Sark found a way to score 49 on Kansas with a dinged up QB1, WR1, no WR 2 or 3, losing RB1, RB3 & RB4, and playing an injured RB2.  I think offensively we will be fine (especially if he could get a lineman or two in).  The issue is we gave up 49 to KU in regulation.  A half competent D, and we win this going away.  Sark can save his job and create a legacy with a Coach Boom type D Coordinator hire.

he’s already created a legacy by being the first texas coach since 1956 to lose five in a row and the only one to ever lose to fucking kansas at DKR.

and you know who else scored 49 or more on kansas this year? coastal carolina and duke. gtfoh.

My cousin went to Oregon. He was the type that needed a change of scenery and an experience completely unique from where he came from. He loved it, but the flights completely wore him out. I get it if you're from California but even then southern CA is a long flight.

That flight indeed sucks. Had to travel to Portland a few times for work and it felt like an eternity.

phil’s thumb drive also included proof of a completed hyperloop from atascocita to eugene.

Maybe since he coaches for a rich club, they will play for English lessons for him or a translator.

or they could just sign jack wilshere.

The quote I responded to was somebody telling this board that herman would be in a better spot with this team right now. If you think that’s true then you and CTJ are both sniffing glue. The only thing Tom herman can rest his hat on is he “never gets blown out.” Yet I quoted a 17 point blow out to tcu, sark lost to Arkansas by 19 which somehow is so much worse. Those are both 3 score losses lol. Herman had his chance and fucked it up. 8 games in and we wanna burn it down. It’s ridiculous

it's not ridiculous to identify and call out trendlines when they are spotted. in his first year sark has a realistic shot at doubling the amount of losses that got herman fired. if sark was a coaching upgrade you'd expect him to at least hold serve in that department. but i guess username checks out and all of that.

I doubt that would have changed anything. Traore is incredibly overrated and overvalued by Wolves.

sure it would have. we'd have had way more chances to see spurs bungle it in the final third instead of just bungling it in midfield.

Nuno is a very poor man's Mourinho without the constant shitting on players. He literally has zero attacking tactics outside of sitting deep and countering.

he also probably thought spurs would sign traore.

This is what's so baffling to me. Nuno was clearly the wrong choice from the start, yet he was the choice. That so many better choices were out there and they didn't amke them ... UGH.

nobody wants to come manage with levy and paratici pulling the strings. a conte hire and we'll just be doing this again in 18 (or less) months.

Morris didn't go through spring ball and was out part of the fall for some reason. He'll be a good option for one of the tackle spots for the next year or two for the Sooners. He was a good take for OU because they missed out on a couple of OT prospects (got Byrd though, who's gotten some positive reviews).

he was a good take and will probably (maybe?) be good for them eventually in his final season. but the general sentiment around here seems to be that the portal is the way to magically solve the o-line problems next season and those expectations should probably be tempered. morris was the best OL portal guy last season, a two-year SEC starter and is struggling to make an impact this year. the majority of portal OL guys are JAGs that couldn’t find consistent playing time at their previous schools.

There are generally a handful of needle moving players in the portal each year, and then a bunch of average guys who can play in situations of dire roster situations. Last season it was really Xavier Worthy and Wanya Morris as the two prize guys. We got one of them and saved this season from being a complete disaster. Had we gotten both of them, I think we win both of the last two games.

We should take no fewer than 4 OTs this year in the portal because two of those will play a bunch if not be the outright starters if they are even slightly above average players.

wanya morris hasn't exactly been lighting the world on fire this season.

I think Nuno has zero plan for how to attack outside of counters. He's basically a less caustic Mourinho.

A bit of a mystery to me....Wolves under him were relentless. I feared that team when we played them, and not just bc of Tryori roids. EPL version of all gas no brakes.

their whole approach with nuno was to clog the midfield and back and punt balls for traore to chase on the counter. spurs long-standing inability to break down those types of teams doesn’t mean they’re relentless.

Winks isn't playing much because Winks sucks. He should have be sold on the cheap.

oh no doubt. the only reason he ever played for spurs was because levy wasnt active enough in the transfer market to replace dembele and wanyama when they started declining.

i just felt like he was implying there is now a team divide and nuno leaving the entire PL starting XI home is further perpetuating that, leading to lack of motivation for some.

  13. dele is lazy AND being asked to do things he's not good at doing, like dropping deep and distributing the ball. bad combo.

then when he's put in a better position tactically, like he was yesterday, he's still lazy and has got guys like winks trying to boss the midfield instead of dembele and wanyama. bad combo.

it also doesn't help that nuno is kind of a shit manager and creating divides in the squad between the first and second team players by some of his decisions, as winks hinted at during his post-match interview yesterday.
