so i saw on a youtube channel that the nuke bombers under the START II Treaty are required to be easily photographed from space to show Russia (and in reciprocation, US) that the other are not hiding bombers other than the times they are on a mission.

meaning the bombers cant be under cover, or in hardened shelters, they have to be visible to both sides.

interestingly enough, Putin declared the START Treaty void back in 22 when he attacked Ukraine.    so that may mean we start hiding the bombers.

because heres the deal... Ukr just showed how a group with low budget could take out Capital assets.

the vid I showed basically said that going forward, the air force will have no choice but to declare no trucks are allowed to idle or rest within at least 15 miles of a US air base without having been cleared.... thats gonna cause all kinds of security chaos forcing truckers to move just in case one of them

and it also means we have to be on the lookout of hidden drones on maritime shipping that just happens to go near Guam, Hawaii, Alaska, Diego Garcia, Marshall Islands, etc

Ukr just showed a very simple road map to take out millions of dollars of planes for pennies on the dollar.

That rumor has been making the rounds but it's 100% made up. Treaty says nothing about bombers needing to be photographed.

  2. There is a YouTube channel that I saw a video on recently and I'm hesitant to post specific videos here because of the nature of the content.

It seems like they get videos from both AFU and RUS and then put them all together to show an entire engagement from both sides. Now, I think what they are actually doing is grabbing a bunch of footage and essentially using it as stock clips to stand in for their narrative, but the way it's presented is wild.

Why would you want to cancel?

I want the option (or task I guess) to have to renew with those services each year rather than be charged automatically. I want a one time thing. If they do good work, I'll use them again. The way they "subscribe" you kind of sucks, and it's a bit of an effort to get out of it.

  4. I may jump back in to raise some paragon levels but I'm not sure.
I feel you on trying to get passives, or worse for me, a bunch of + to specific skills on an amulet.

  5. Finished out the season the other night.

I could not get mythic chest to drop at all.

Bone Spear wasn't a bad build, but some of the gear was almost impossible to get the necessary rolls for. Watching some other builds just lol their way through mobs made me think I chose wrong.

You can change age speed/length in settings.

There will probably be a 4th age added as DLC in the future.

Right, but my thought was, being able to changing the game speed would result in having more ages for you to go through, versus having a condensed game would result in having the condensed ages we will have in game currently.

  7. Also sounds like warfare is very good this go round.

I know there are only 3 ages, kind of wish or hope there's an option to break  those up in the future.

    A standard game maybe you play Ancient/Classical -Medieval/Exploration - Industrial/Modern?

But if you play a long game you get full  fledged ages with tech trees in each age.

    Ancient - Classical - Medieval - Renaissance - Industrial - Modern

It's getting mixed reviews. Apparently a bit of a departure from the traditional civ gameplay.

I might give it a couple months to let them tweak and bugfix.

I've mostly heard people bashing the UI.
I agree there probably needs  to be a solid balance pass because SpiffingBrit was stacking bonuses to get Roman Legions hitting as hard as modern tanks, but that's what he does.

It seems some people have said that, after a little bit of playing, everything seems to "click" and it's really fun.

I hope they open up the game so modders can do some true modding this time around, like what they used to do with Civ 4.

  9. I second everyone's sentiments.

It felt like an "old man" game to me and I loved it.

In that I mean, it respected your time (other than the weird check point save stuff). Solid story, adjustable difficulty for fighting, puzzles that weren't overly complex, and if you wanted to go 100% there are maps in game that you can buy with in game money to show you everything.

I could pick it up and put it down as time permitted. I really enjoyed it.

I did not enjoy whatever producer forced the airplane mission on us. That felt confusing, needless, and rushed.

My Xmas gift from the kiddos was a note....

"It's in the mail on the way to Austin, but it's coming from Ukraine so it will take a little while.

Destroyed BMP from the Battle of Kyiv, chopped up and recycled by creators from Bucha.  One of those pieces is now yours."

    Pretty solid fucking Christmas gift.

    no pic?

  11. Finished the season track and all objectives last night.
May still play a bit to knock out some other stuff, but t his was enjoyable (SB quill volley of course).

Wasn't a huge fan of the expansion campaign story. I felt like it just wasn't very good.

Man what a gut punch for that family.  He and his brother both gone the night before their sister's wedding.

Yeah, I had read that as well this morning. Just terrible all around.
