The team chemistry might be better off if malcontents leave.
Nah, they're some of our better players and we actually need them. But it will be fine. They are kids.

Interesting that Overshown still hasn’t reported to campus and Hutzler went to go visit him. Overshown’s been one of the guys voicing discontentment on twitter too. All that combined with a position switch he was reportedly against last year definitely checks all the boxes for an attrition candidate.
Hopefully Hutzler and the huge opportunity for playing time, especially with Mitchell likely gone, will keep him from hitting the portal. Him stepping up at LB would answer the biggest need we have on defense.Neither Mitchell or Overshown are going anywhere.

May be nothing but Theodore Knox's latest follow is Tom Herman...maybe he realized he doesn't want to play football in Mississippi.
Hmm, he seems to follow every coach. Kinda sad that he is just now following Herman, though.

Giles will get them DEs playing well. Especially in a 4-man front. Teaching technique has never been his issue. It's always been recruiting.
Hand is recruiting decently and coaching well.
I can't speak to Hagen in the slightest. I know nothing about him.

Dajon might actually deserve a 4th star tbh. Was watching his highlights last night and that bro can burn.
-
Just saying, if you calculated class ranking by average recruit rating, we'd be #5 in the country, ahead of Florida, Auburn, aggy, and Ohio State.

Giles can coach his nuts off. And in a 4-man front? Collins could be unstoppable like Okafor was by the end of his career.

Gotta say I do like to see that kind of loyalty, though. Mizzou was the first P5 school to offer him. They arguably "found" him. So I can understand the loyalty. Usually that evaporates when big names like Texas and Alabama enter the game, though.

Alfred and Princely's tweets have the same format and everything. Are they close friends? If so, I doubt they'll end up in different places.

The kid has good instincts. I like the last minute take. Get the dude in camp, let him compete. You never know what'll happen.

I feel like most people believe he doesn't actually deserve that low of a rating, though.

Chances we reel in some last-minute mid-80's-rated 3-star on NSD2?

The transfer market is looking pretty picante for LBs.

Meh go fuck yourself. Collins, VB, Princely all have potential to be very good pass rushers. You don’t need to come off the edge to get after the QB.This is true. Case in point: arguably our best pass-rusher right now is a 340lb DT.

Bevo with possibly the dumbest statements I've ever read on here.
Talent isn't this super rare commodity. We have it in spades all over the roster but especially at WR. We will always move the ball with our WRs. That's not a real concern. Jake Smith has the potential to be better than any WR we've ever had here.

I always enjoy watching Bowie lose.
Hudson Card is so fuckin' smooth. He looks really advanced for a HS senior. And they seem to be running a really similar offense as us.

Something comparing Orgeron to Boomhauer.

LOL, WTF is this? He had the blocks. He just panicked. Not good pocket presence here. Could be a long day for him against our D-line if he's prone to skittishness like this.
-
I'm actually excited to see him toting the rock.
-
Yeah we'll be fine. Keaontay and JWhitt will play fine and Sam will be our 3rd runner. That's a lot of firepower. Our RB room will essentially be back to normal in a few weeks when everyone is back to being healthy.
Calling Keaontay an injured back is a little misleading. He's expected to play in game 1. I think we're just holding him out out of caution.

Does he have a medical redshirt possibility?
and if can come back this year they need to feature him in a blowout.
Shit, if he's healthy, we should get as much use out of him as possible. Put him in in a meaningful game. (Like Kansas or TTU or something) Give our starting RBs a little break.
-
Not-so-hot take: Jake Smith will get some carries, whether we "need" him to or not, on end-arounds and jet sweeps, much like LJH did last season.

Eaton?
Friday, right?
Feels like all our main targets are making decisions. I'm curious to see who we go after after them.

The dude is 6"5' so he's seemingly been playing out of position quite a lot. If he adds weight, I wouldn't mind having him as an edge rusher. I'm guessing that is where he projects?
