Oof. Yeah it might be a good idea to reboot. Bermuda is a lot more forgiving than St A.

Growing from seed is tricky in the first stage of germination. It has very little root system. Frequent, short duration watering is best, morning, noon and night. Once it gets some roots going you can do the longer less frequent watering, but it's touch and go for the first month or so. As far as kind of turf, it's bermudagrass, buffalo, or zoysia. St. A has a very low germination rate which is why you don't see it anywhere. Zoysia or bermudagrass would be my recommendation and of those two I'd call bermudagrass the more forgiving of cutting back on water in drought conditions.

I will have to go seeds all the way here as I'm not gonna spend money on sod. We might have another drought this year and I'm back at the same place next February.

  2. My St. Augustine yard (in Houston) has been a disaster since the drought and water restriction last summer.  There are many patches where all I see are grassroots.  Is this salvageable or should I just go ahead rip everything out and put down new turf?

  3. The U.S. women's national team midfielder said it was a bruising tackle from club teammate Danielle van de Donk and their tense exchange that fueled Horan's equalizer against the Netherlands in the Women's World Cup on Wednesday. "That's where you get the best football from Lindsey," Horan said afterward. "I don't think you ever want to get me mad because I don't react in a good way. Usually I just go and I want something more -- I want to win more, I want to score more, I want to do more for my team."

Basically confirm the eye test, the team is sleep walking through the games.  Activate Hulk mode for now on por favor.

It doesn’t even matter that we won, outcome isn’t what matters it’s process and the process is fucking broken.

But be grateful that this is made possible by REAL bAsEBaLL people instead of microsoft excel dorks judging players' performance with metrics that nobody can explain.

Unless you’re trying to create a tax event or own it in a retirement account, why wouldn’t you just buy more on margin? You could actually get more leverage and not pay the $0.87 premium, which is significantly more than your margin interest cost will be.

This is in Roth so no margin.  Anyway my brokerage, Schwab, is charging 10% margin.

  6. I have 200 sh of PLTR right now which trading at $6.88 ( total <$1400). Too embarrassed to tell you guys how much I bought these at.

Thinking to sell all and use all the money to buy 3 calls of $3 Jan 2025 at $4.65/each. To breakeven at expiry, price would need to be $7.65

    What say you wisemen?

  7. This Dutch team is nowhere near the level of Van Persie's and Robben's years.  They have DeJong but I see no reason why USMNT shouldn't dominate the midfield and gallop  down the flanks with ease. Probably wouldn't be able to score though so this will go to PK.

Same lineup tomorrow except Hensley for Diaz.

Dusty inexplicably replaced Hensley with Mancini last night so I'm not holding my breath.

If he is thinking that we need more outfield defense, I hope he goes with Dubon. Anything but Diaz/ Mancini
