I've been on Shaggy/Surly for 15 years and I had never seen that.
-
I'm right here with y'all. Cheers!

After a long week on the road was made longer by rain delays, it's nice to have a drink, vape hit, and listen to some Grateful Dead! This show has the Althea and Walking Blues from Without a Net. I think.

Thank you! The 2025 2nd rounder will probably be a top 40 pick. T’Sweat or Braden Fiske will be available at 42 we can use the other 2nd on a WR like Corley or Leggette.
Why not Mitchell?

The CFS at Alamo Cafe used to be terrific. Of course, that was 30 years ago. I have no idea if it still is.

More context behind the “LNG” pause and why it isn’t about the environment.

Let me restate…violence against non violent offenders.
-
Wouldn’t it be implied that if you are willing to grant freedoms to a violent criminal that you are more tolerant of that offender than someone unwilling to grant that freedom?
I’ve already said I support prison reform. I’ve been on record on this site and Shaggy that if I were king, all prison sentences for drug possession would immediately be commuted and records expunged. I stated I’m skeptical that rehab would really work for the truly violent.
-
Thank you for your condescension. It’s always appreciated.
I guess it boils down to trusting rehabilitation efforts on someone that has proven to be violent previously. Admittedly, I don’t know anyone that has been to prison for a violent crime and been paroled, so I have no personal experience to base my feelings on. I’ll also admit to not having researched any studies on rehabilitation success for violent criminals. I’ll just say at the very least I skeptical. Now, back to Epstein Island.

You mean outside the walls or inside?
-
I just don’t have the tolerance for violence that some here seem to have. I’ll admit that my view may be skewed by the news reports of crimes that have multiple violent offenders as the perpetrator. I have absolutely no issue addressing some sort of prison reform to allow for non-violent offenders (read drug offenders) to not be imprisoned so we have more room to store the violent people.

Well, I haven’t been to the wine thread but imo probably just means “in my opinion”.
-
Maybe if some of the people in prison had abstained from rape and violence when they were free they wouldn’t be subjected to the cruelty of our prisons. Fuck any violent offender. I don’t give a shit how cruel their prison is.

What does “imo” in the wine thread mean? I know it means in my opinion, but how does that translate to a wine/grape?. What am I missing?
This is the perfect post for this thread…imo.

As both a Cowboys and Texans fan, I have to say that I am infinitely more excited about the Texans than I have been about the Cowboys for a very very long time. I don’t even open that thread anymore. I can’t wait for September!!

In an act of solidarity, I will boycott Riff Raff. Henceforth, I shall never listen to a song or go to a show involving Riff Raff.
as far as the money goes, I would just consider it paying it forward.

I’m at Mr B’s right now since I didn’t get a chance to get here on my last trip. I still owe someone in this thread a picture of a muffuletta.

He probably would have held out if they weren’t going to extend him. I doubt he goes anywhere with just one year left.
