  1. Will be Austin with a group of C riders and would like to find a ride of about 30 to 40 miles with minimal car traffic if possible. Doesn't have to be Austin proper and bonus if good eats along the ride. Thanks

I just found an unopened Amazon box from 20 fucking 18. We needed a record play so bad we just couldn’t live without it. We have a cash flow problem, yet shit from Amazon just keeps showing up and getting shoved in a hole somewhere unopened

The man who went on a violent, sexually charged rampage in Las Vegas over the weekend was drugged ... at least according to his family.

Brian Danilczyk downed a drink laced with hallucinogenics, causing him to slug a one-legged man at the Flamingo Hotel Sunday, his wife reportedly told the press.

Danilczyk then got naked and barged inside Harrah's Hotel and Casino, where he flaunted his genitals and danced on top of a poker table. Vegas cops wrestled Brian to the floor, arresting him for indecent exposure and disorderly conduct.

  5. From Liucci's top 44 list for 2021 which we know it's inflated towards their recruits and certainly a work of fiction. 4 of 9 top aggy commits are in the portal (LJ Johnson #5, Stowers #9, Adeleye #13, and Burris #19).

  6. We sold our house in Texas and relocated to northern NJ last year and couldn't be happier.  The cost of living is higher but we are one hour to the Jersey shore, 40 minutes to midtown Manhattan, 2 hrs to the Poconos.  More importantly, 6 hrs to Maine where we are considering buying some land which is dirt cheap.   Think 70 wooded acres for $100K.  Maine is one of the least populated states in the country for a good reason.  It's BFE, remote with an aging population and mostly white.  However, it's only an hour to so to Canada if this country goes to hell in a handbasket.

Other than an occasionally trip back to Texas to see family, I see no reason to ever live in Texas again.  The weather is awesome outside of Dec to April but WFH so we pick and choose when we need to venture out. No drought, scorching heat, or tornadoes but a nor'easter can wreak havoc.  The high today is 70 and the low is 59.  The natives are rude but it's like an Aggie where we try to limit our exposure to them.

I do miss Whataburger, HEB (when it's open) and brisket so I get my fill when I venture back but the excellent Italian food and pizzas more than make up for it.  Plus, I can choose any type of cuisines in NYC.  We bike everywhere in the city and feel much safer than in Texas due to dedicated and sometimes protected bike lanes.  No need to take the subway to avoid the occasional mugging unless we are going to lower Queens for east of Brooklyn (La Guardia).  College sports sucks but a plethora of professional teams to root for.

I think sports in general are kind of doing this. There is a lot of things to entertain and demand your attention these days.

Though I was pleasantly surprised how many boys at my son's 5th grade graduation listed their dream job as a major league baseball player. So at least some kids still love the game.

I didn't think the Corvallis crowd was bad at all, they packed that place. They just looked cold in their coats and fleeces.

But to your main point yeah I was impressed by the ECU crowd showing up both during the first two games but especially with that huge rain delay in Game 3 down 4-0 and a large number stayed until the final out at like 2 AM eastern time. Again I suspect ESPN did them a disservice by focusing the camera on the trashiest douchebags. Have some class and just show hot women ESPN.

well shit, what else is there to do in Greenville on a Monday night?

    LOL these times.

We all know why SloNeal didn't run at the NFL combine. Fastest 40 for a safety was Nick Cross of Maryland at 4.34 and slowest was Quentin Lake of UCLA at 4.59. SloNeal ran a 4.70. Nobody was in the 4.6s.

    Overview
Safety prospect with good size and field recognition but major deficiencies that could be tough to overcome. O'Neal puts the work in and it shows with the way he locates routes and rushes on top of them as a zone defender. While he has some success playing forward, he's missing the hips and speed to hold up as a last line of defense against NFL speed. To make the situation muddier, O'Neal was an inconsistent tackler throughout his time at Texas A&M, which could add to the challenge of making a roster in 2022.

  10. Serious question. I may have the opportunity to relocate to either Boston or Chicago for 12 months. Currently living near NYC so accustomed to high COL.  No kids so school not a factor and will rent instead of buy. Again, only for 12 months so there is an end in sight.

    Chicago

Pros: centrally located, Cubs and Wrigley, cool architecture, awesome food options, nice downtown, Lake Michigan, the L, closer to the lakes in Minnesota and Wisconsin and cities to visit (Milwaukee, Minneapolis/St Paul, Madison)

Cons: wind, rough winter, high crime in south and southwest part of city, city and state government

    Boston

Pros: Red Sox and Fenway, closer to VT, NH, ME, and Canada, world class universities, awesome Italian in north Boston, lobstah. Hard to beat the fall in the northeast.

Cons: another northeast city, not sure about mass transit since I am spoiled by the subway system in NYC, colder winter than NYC?

I've been to both cities multiple times but haven't stayed long enough to really get to know the city. Chicago seems more spread out and rougher around the edge. Boston was harder to drive especially around downtown and The Big Dig. I missed an exit and swear it took me 20 minutes to get back on track.

State income tax of about 5% in both so a wash.

I am sure there are some fallacies in my pros and cons so not looking for a fight but rather honest opinion on both. Thanks.

I guess it wasn't that hard.

  12. "For those interested in a “very disrespectful and totally non-denominational memorial,” Corren and his siblings are planning a party at B&B Lanes in Fayetteville on May 10, 2022. “Bowling parties were a feature of our life growing up,” he said. “My mom worked at the bowling alley and that is exactly how we’re going to send her off on her birthday.”

    Surly road trip to NC?

  13. Rode the bike across the Williamsburg Bridge and met the runners on Bedford Avenue in Brooklyn at mile 10. The crowd was raucous and a lot of fun.  Rode back into Manhattan and up to Central Park and saw the runners at mile 24.  They certainly don't look like they were having any fun. Having ran the NYC marathon once, I know how it feels.
