seems like it's just codifying what is already policy both with CoA and TravCo. I think they need to remove the "small amount" language, though. there are literally lawyers in Austin selling weed out in the open telling law enforcement to effectively come and take it. it's nice to finally have something official, but it will be obsolete the second it is signed into law

Can you explain this ATX Bud Tenders?  Can I just call them and order?  Would love something this easy, but it feels weird in Texas.  Have you used them?

Also - to whichever poster originally posted about the Hometown Hero D9 gummies.  Bravo.  Good stuff.  My local Lazydaze carries them and they don’t mark up.

    You Sir, win the internet.

To do it right there, request to sit in one of the booths that are the favorite tables of those guys - ie: the Dean Martin booth.  It’s a cool place.  Also ask them to show you the mafia room with escape hatch in the wall.

Open season on the SOC receivers. Refs refusing to call penalties on LH.

Up until today I thought the refs have been better than normal.  It always seems that the urban schools always get a crew from deep west Texas who only call games with the veer offense being run.  They can’t keep up with the pace.  Will be interesting to see where the crew calling the Dville-NS game.

How do they access the data about the vehicles to fine them? Do they make homeowners register their cars with the HOA?

Grand Mesa, which is the private community in Crystal Falls, is the gated portion where the HOA owns the roads.  The gates have scanners to read barcodes on the car windows to open them.  Those barcodes are registered with a license plate.  So the HOA has all of that info also.

  5. All I could hear was Brando trying to talk up anything against Texas.   How great the Louisiana QB was, the fact that it HAD to be a fumble on the reviewed Card incomplete pass, and on and on.  Once he became resigned to the fact that it wasn’t going to be a Texas meltdown, he lost steam.

I’m not defending stupid local decisions but the main mistakes are largely at the federal and state level. There was no plan or understanding what organizations were going to receive doses and how many. And no one is prepared to take on providing 100s of thousands (millions?) of doses with uncertainty of funding.

the federal and state plan seems to be that they assumed that local hospitals, pharmacies and county officials will figure it out on the fly with no coordination between anyone.

And as difficult as this is to believe, Texas looks to be handling this best among many states despite our state govt. it also is drastically improving every day.

I will agree to a point.  We are all frustrated mainly because we don’t want to see us or loved ones die.

I actually get the hub concept.  But how in the hell do we not have a functioning website?  It’s 2021.  By god, there are HS kids that could setup a registration site better than the garbage APH has rolled out.  And they would do it for a grade and no money.  Austin must have some cheap crappy 3rd party company and they are failing miserably.

  7. So I’ll chime in to say that everything on the last couple of pages is spot on about APH.  I got fed up and called the “interim” directors office and the admin actually called back, but just told me the same shit.  She was very nice and I appreciated her for doing that.  It a clusterfuck at Delco for sure.

To make it a better story - my mom texted me last night that Parkland in Dallas announced they were doing 1200 doses of the Pfizer both this morning and tomorrow morning starting at 6am - first come first served and only over 65(I think on that).  They got there at 4am and were given a ticket they were in group 2 and to come back between 7-9.  They are guaranteed a shot this morning.  I’m thankful.  My mom was in a really bad place.

so FYI for you Dallas folks over 65 or with parents up there.   Do it tomorrow.  Get up early.

Oh how i harken back to the days of you and your raccoon problems(I think it was raccoons) from TOS.  Those were the good days.  Now I find myself nodding my head in agreement instead of laughing.

This Hillwood pilot or whatever he did.   He’s been fired.  No news link or anything.  My BIL works there and they all got an email.

Wait, are you asking if we should look at who advertises on TexAgs, a website somewhat tied to Texas A&M athletics, and that has sponsored a thousand+ page Qanon thread pushing sedition for a long time?

And we should look at who advertises on Tiger Droppings as well?

Northloop - I think he was answering this.

  11. So is Austin just sitting on its hands or what.  The bigger cities have setup mass vaccination events.  Hell, Arlington was giving out vaccines at their convention center starting last Wednesday.  You had to live in Arlington though.

Amazon/FedEx/HEB consortium.  I'd say Chick Fil A, but they probably don't believe in vaccines.

Yup.  Spot on.  I’m a sales manager at FedEx and the vaccines get priority over anything else.  Sorry not sorry.  UPS is doing the same.  They are carrying a lot of the setup kits and we have the majority of the cold chain storage.  We just move it where we are told, which happens to be directed 100% by the states.  Nobody wants to be held accountable.

HEB and local pharmacies seem to be the best route right now.  We just have to keep sharing where we find lists, etc.

I was scheduled to get mine today!

    BUT!

I now have to wait the January 7th because my assistant tested positive yesterday!

She’s the person I work closest with so I have to make sure I didn’t get it before taking the vaccine.

I swear to god, if I have gone 10 months without catching this and literally catch it THE WEEK I WAS SUPPOSED TO BE VACCINATED..........

Good luck.  I have followed a lot of your posts and you are always spot on.  Hoping for the best for you.

I had an ablation for Afib at St David’s here in Austin on Monday and asked.  But they were still vaccinating the staff, which is understandable.  You guys are the hero’s.

As a follow up.  I’m on the list at Tarrytown and 38th Street pharmacy.  Both have them on their website.  I’m 1b(diabetic).  Who knows.  But at least those places have a dang list.

How is their not a natIonal database of who has gotten the vaccine? Tracks doses administered, where, to who, timing, etc.

you would think that would be step one.

Exactly.  But hey, big tech can’t be trusted.  So no on that.   I’m just pissed because you know vaccines are going unused right now.
