1. Another series win, going for the sweep tomorrow.

Not getting ahead of myself, but this team could be fun if they get going in the heart of the season. Haven’t lost a series since May 29.

The Yanks seem uncatchable now, but there’s still a ton of baseball left to play. Basically a whole month until the All-Star Break.

The run before the ASG will be quite the test.

Would be nice to get Nate and Sale(!) back. Sounds like Nate’s injury is taking longer to recover from than initially predicted. He probably won’t be activated from the IL until July 4 (or later).

Things seem promising for Sale — who struck out Wander Franco in his rehab inning yesterday. He very well could return *before* the All-Star Break.

Oh, and Millar predicted Story’s HR tonight:

  2. BrickTop stop making the Yankees win.

    Yes, please.

The fact that the Yanks have still only lost 16 games while playing in the hardest division in baseball is all the more impressive.

Fuck those guys, but impressive nonetheless.

  3. 8-2 in the last 10, won all three west coast series. I’ll take it. Oakland visits on Tuesday. Keep the party going.

Even with Nate on the IL and Sale slowly working his way back, I somehow feel halfway decent about the pitching so far. A legitimate closet would be nice, but maybe saving that for the trade deadline…

  4. Another W… and this time, in extras (which hasn’t been kind to the Sox this year).

More notably, it was the first game this season (after going 0-18) when trailing after 6 innings. Comeback wins are a cornerstone of great Sox teams over the years (or any good team for that matter). Would like to see some more of those.

Nate on the hill tomorrow. Trout is possibly injured as well. (Almost feel bad for the Angels now… but let’s keep the party going regardless.)

  5. Love hearing those little drops. Sporting events on Fox often have it as well, but it’s sometimes just barely there… almost subliminal-like.

This article did a good job explaining it:

Also, I miss Katy Tur. I actually didn’t realize she left MSNBC, but good for her. Her Phish drops were a work of art.

Really liking the sound of the band during this spring tour. A shame they didn’t play any Texas dates this time around, but it’s hot as balls outside. (Friends and I are hitting up Dick’s for the Labor Day weekend run. Should be fun.)

  6. I guess the bats took a night off Wednesday, but the rest of this series has been fun.

Even Bobby Dalbec got a hit with runners on tonight!

Don’t let this team get hot. Just don’t.

FIVE(!) at home vs the Orioles (over four days) starting tomorrow…
