“Firepower” is my five year old son’s favorite album. I am raising him right so far!

Jesus Christ. How does that asshole still have a job???

I just found the game on ESPN+ with no idea what was happening. First pitch I saw was the Gasparino HR. I’ll keep watching, I promise.

Couldn’t watch last night so I just finished streaming the first half. Holy shit those last seven minutes were just glorious.

Oh, I agree, and I know it was before the game.
Yeah, I should have read a few more posts for context. Photo still rules.

It was before the game. That's what makes it so awesome. Vince knew.

Watching him just sit there and suffer on draft night is a memory that I enjoy more and more each year, and I really fucking enjoyed it a lot the night it happened.

Paul himself in the documentary (also released yesterday).

It's really quite beautiful. I got choked up when the classic Harrison guitar solo came in, and then was maybe even more amazed when I later found out that it's McCartney playing the solo as a tribute to George.

I just remembered that Queen (and Adam Lambert) are at the AAC tonight. I have a feeling that a large contingent from a certain local sports team just might be making an appearance on stage during the show!

I remember when Pavlik was something like 9-1 with a 5+ ERA and he got named to the All-Star team.
I went to a game against Toronto where Pavlik walked the first 5 batters in the top of the first and got pulled without getting an out. Good times!

I’m so fucking old that this post actually makes perfect sense to me. Time for more bourbon now.

It was fantastic. Fill-in drummer plays quite differently than Larry, but he fit in nicely. Can’t even describe how amazing the Sphere is as a venue. We even got a special guest, and I thought for sure it was going to be Adele (since she has a residence in Vegas now too). But it was just…
Lady Gaga. Fair trade.

In Vegas for U2 at the Sphere tonight. I wasn’t going to attend this residency as I was really pissed about the no Larry situation, but then my sister invited me as a payback for taking her to the ZooTV tour when she was in high school. How could I say no?

It’s 6:30 AM on game day, and OU still sucks.

Went to the Central Market near SMU earlier today to get some last-minute game supplies. My five-year-old autistic son was with me, and of course we were both wearing burnt orange. As we walked out, a 60-something man jumped into our path and screamed, “Go Aggies!!” right into my face. I simply looked at him and said, “I don’t think we are playing you today, but…sure, alright.”
I will always remember the stunned/confused look on his face. I’m sure it was the same look a gnat makes after he has been casually swatted away…

I won a bunch of tickets to see Scandal and John Waite at Reunion around 84. They were taking turns opening and this night, Scandal opened. Scandal had a guest guitarist come on stage for the last two songs......dude had a red/black/white Kramer, just like EVH....who the fuck would do that....then he starts playing and you realize it WAS Eddie. It was right after he got his haircut so you really couldn't tell who it was at first.
Gotta say the opener won that night.
The fact that Patty Smyth ALMOST became the lead singer in Van Halen is still one of music’s craziest stories. And people thought the band was too different with Sammy…

someone explain to me how Judas Priest is possible

Oh, we are playing it constantly. Will definitely be taking him to see Priest this year if they come anywhere near Texas (he’s autistic and airplanes are still a no-no for him unfortunately). We are going to Maiden in November as well. He also worships The Beatles, so it’s not just metal for the little guy.
