That was my expectation . . . maybe I got roped in a page or two back when someone hinted "3rd string".
Asked about this more. Was not wearing a green jersey. They are being careful with him more than anything. Coaches feel he has enough experience and will be fine come season.

Wonderful so our defense sucks. Doomed
We should all still have concerns about it until they prove otherwise.

Ewers had that disastrous fumble TD that put us down in the fourth quarter and from that point forward, they didn't let him throw the ball again. Bijan and Roschon ran it straight up their ass. The defense got a turnover and that was that. As bullish as I am on this team, Ewers is still a huge unknown.
Had a buddy at a practice recently. Nothing earth shattering here, so take it for what it's worth.
He didn't recall any first team drop. There may have been some, but none that came to mind. 1's on 1's - Defense was beaten for the most part, but looks to have had some pressure on Quinn at times. It's always hard to tell if the play would have been disrupted. Quinn threw it anyway. Made a few throws that drew applause. He looks smaller but more fit. 2s on 2s were back and forth pretty even. 3s were kinda all over. Malik and Arch both with good throws, but not as consistent. Both drops and some misses.
When AD catches the ball, fairy dust and rose petals poof into the air. There's no sound. By contrast, Cain caught everything, but with the occasional audible thud. X is really, really fast underneath. He's still slight, but looks a bit bigger. Whittington caught a ton of balls.
Brooks looked good. Baxter turned a corner so fast, everyone assumed it was Brooks. It was not. Baxter is big and fast.
Neyor with Mitchell is going to be a problem. Could be BS, but Neyor's post surgery vert is over 40 inches.
Murphy is a brick wall. Has pop, and just is solid. Mitchell is huge. Sweat looks athletic. Like, definitely beating CTJ athletic.
Kickers were booting it - far and accurate with no pressure.
Catalon was running with the 3s, which is consistent with what the 9.95s have said. That's all I can remember from him offhand.

I just spent the day walking up massive inclines in San Francisco and barely breaking a sweat. I would fucking smoke Sweat in a 40. I’ve easily still got 4.something speed, folks.
I’m still down for the Surlympics. I’ll put a heavy wager on the over on that 40 time. That man bun’s got gray in it, and everyone knows Naruto times start sliding as you approach 50.

He was recruited to be a career backup. There are worse uses of scholarships than adding a stable backstop to the QB room in this day and age. Sark would seem to agree given they are taking that kid from Cy Fair this cycle.
This. And, his grandfather is one of the most influential professors in UT history. The kid can have 2 scholarships because he satisfies two roles. I love that he is on the team.

Yes. And a tiny piece of my soul.

In the world of shitty, uncaring Airlines, I think United takes the cake. At least with Frontier and Alligiant you know it’s Air-greyhound. Fuck you in the goat ass, United.

Finishing up our third week in Panama. We spent the day today just walking around and eating. Had two weeks of immersion courses, which were a great overall. Would highly recommend it if you can ever find the time- Casco Antiguo Spanish school. As for the humidity, suck it up and take a couple cold showers each day.
We spent the majority of our time in Casco Viejo, since that’s where the school is located.
We’ve had a couple old fashions at Amarla, per @midtown. The first one was great, the second one was pretty good. Drink a caipirinha at the American Bazaar if you can.
Trying to eat pounds of ceviche. So far the best is at a small restaurant next to the school called the snack shack. Get a mojito there.
Great Peruvian food at Nazca. Get the daily special- it’s $7, or $8 with an app.
Get an egg sandwich at Sisu. Get a black coffee at Unido. Don’t think the crazy expensive Geisha coffee is worth it.
Ate breakfast at La Compania hotel most mornings, even though we were staying in Albrook. Five of us consistently split empanadas and coffee for $20 or so. Wonderful staff and beautiful hotel.
Possibly the best, and cheapest, meal that we had was in the fonda at Mercado de San Felipe. Great soup- sancocho. There was also some fish with orange sauce that was great. My kids love getting the fresh juice from the market- plastic jugs full of everything.
Spent last weekend in the jungle at Gamboa. Easy trip From the city. Headed to the pearl islands in the morning.Hope to do some fishing and reading- if my kids let me.

Yeah, that's a 3 hour car ride and then a 30-45 boat ride. So that's 6-7 hours of travel and the rest of the time is at the islands. I meant it didn't take a whole day of travel to get there. If we do it, it's going to be a multi day trip. It won't be a huge deal as we won't be doing both legs on the same day.
This is more in line with what I’ve been told that. We’ve got friends that have a place in Panama City and they recommended going to the islands but spending the night.
@midtown we will definitely check out the Amarla. -
So, I'm taking my wife and 3 kids to Panama City. Doing an immersion course in Casco Viejo for a few weeks. I'm very much a - pick a few things and wing it the rest of the trip - kind of guy. So, thinking San Blas islands, Peacock Bass fishing, and food. Lots of food. Gonna take a hard pass on the whore recommendations above. Got anything else?
