I have several yetis I’ve won in fishing tournaments or been given during hunts and whatnot.  All too heavy. So this year I took a ~30 qt igloo similar to this to the river. Sucked balls. Bad. I remember them having much better performance.   Maybe because it’s so thin, I don’t know.   But it was light af, which was the mission.  Beers weren’t staying long in there anyhow.  But stacked nicely with beers and 10-12# of ice left inside AC cabin would melt in 18 hours.

I just bought this one for $19 at Academy last week. Just wanted a simple cooler for a few hours.

I have the Polar Bear 12 soft cooler that I got a Texas Exes Houston Chapter fundraiser with their "Come and Hook'em" logo. That one's great for heading to the neighborhood pool for a couple of hours. Big fan of that one.

  2. I switched recently to Spectrum for internet.  I had AT&T uverse cable + internet for years but I dropped cable for Directv Now almost a year ago.  So I only had AT&T for my internet but based on the distance to the hub, I was maxed out at 50MB which sucked.

So I jumped to Spectrum 400MB plan and got it for $10 more than 50MB AT&T.  But I noticed on my bill that there was a $10 phone charge.  Can I avoid that?  Or is it just part of the package?

  3. I went to Victoria for a funeral yesterday and we stopped at Black's BBQ in Lockhart on the way home.

One of my buddies got the beef rib and it was not their best. Disappointed.

I got pork ribs, brisket and sausage.  The brisket was awesome.  I saw it on the cutting table and I said "yeah get me some of that".  I was at Louie Muellers 2 weeks ago and I thought that the brisket was better at Blacks but the ribs + sausage were better at Louie Muellers.  Of course this all varies visit to visit.

I think you’re misinterpreting it. She knew the con was acknowledging Chuck; it was the very reason he didn’t get reinstated the first time. While she was orchestrating that she ALSO knows Jimmy is broken re: Chuck in general. Thus, the psychiatrist request. She was in on the con until Jimmy stopped reading the letter. In that moment she thought he had broken from the character and actually came to grips with his true feelings about Chuck, which is probably what she thought the psychiatrist would get to. To then realize afterwards that he didn’t make such a breakthrough after all and was actually giddy about what suckers they were for believing it only reinforced to her that Jimmy is still very broken.

Yep. I think then and there she realized that Jimmy is a sociopath.

Lalo is dead in BB. I imagine that this next season the conflict will be Gus vs Salamanca and Lalo is too strong of a character to not have a role in BB if he lived through this conflict.

I wish that Nacho had eaten that taco tho. It looked good.

I'm wrong. I did some searching on Breaking Bad and I'll just leave it as that.

I doubt Lalo is dead in BB, though I suppose it's possible.

When Walter and Jesse kidnap Saul and take him to the hole in the desert, Saul starts yelling that "It wasn't me, it was Ignacio."  And then he asks them if they're Lalo's guys.

Lalo is dead in BB. I imagine that this next season the conflict will be Gus vs Salamanca and Lalo is too strong of a character to not have a role in BB if he lived through this conflict.

    Wow!

He has arrived and he's a royal prick.

And that's surprising how? Saul Goodman was a prick on BB. Remember when he was telling Walter White to just kill Badger when Walter takes him out to the desert?

    He's just an entertaining prick.

It’s been a long time since I’ve done it, but it used to be a don’t ask, don’t tell deal.  If you were unsuccessful, you could always go try a different gate.

One year, I bet a buddy a beer that I could get in without handing them my ticket. I had a ticket but that I could just nonchalantly walk in. I did it.  Just walked right in, right past them. Mainly by having a conversation with him. I"ve done it another time too. Both times I've had tickets but this isn't the Secret Service running the gates.

2005. The beat down after losing 12-0 in 2004 and the blowouts in previous years. Rod Wright rumbling downfield after Bomar getting smashed was a thing of beauty.

This is the correct answer. After 3 really bad beatdowns and 5 in a row, the feeling of winning that game was ultimate relief.  And it was over before halftime.  Billy Pittman's TD before half sealed it.  We were high fiving random strangers in the hallways to the concessions...

For the record, I have framed pictures of both the Pittman TD and the '08 Shipley kick return in my gameroom and study... Both were amazing plays and I was at both those games.

After Taysom Hill and Ole Miss, I legit thought OU was going to rush for 1000 yards that day. Then the defense played outstanding and Case had the game of his life.

I've been to the game every year for the last 24 years and that game I had the best seats I've ever had. Under the underhang, Texas side around the 20 yard line maybe 40 rows up.

    $100 handshake?

    Is this a "don't ask, don't tell" deal?  ;)

I have a 5yo + 7yo boys and I won't take them to a big Texas home game yet alone Texas/OU.  They only care about concessions and sh*t like that.  Save your money, watch at home.

My 9yo, however, is pissed that I'm not taking him... Give it a couple of years save some cash.

  12. Well deserved.  I was at the Texas Exes Distinguished Alum award deal the year he won.  Watching his video, reading about him, hearing him talk... you knew it was a strong possibility that he would be winning the Nobel.

What starts here changes the world.

Apple TV - I gave my mom one.  I hate that touch pad.  It drives me nuts.

Direct TV Now.  - One thing I found really digging is the ability to "Discover" movies.  Then bookmark them to watch later.  They have a huge on Demand service, like having another "Netflix" like service.  Especially since HBO seems to be free for me in this app.

If you have AT&T for cell service, then you should get HBO free + $15 off per month of DTV Now.  I'm pretty happy about that...

PS Vue is fine.  I had it for a while. Something minor made me choose DTVN but it was a close choice.  LHN maybe?

Every time I put together a Sling bundle it’s a lot more expensive for me to get everything I want.  Like $20-30 more per month.

I have the DTV Now and LHN is included in the "Just Right" package.

  15. We hold onto our cars for a while. Typically 7+ years so I don't go through this process that often.  And the last 4 cars we have bought have been from those "one simple price" dealerships.  2 from Gunn Honda, 1 from Gunn Nissan and 1 from First Texas Honda.

We are on the market for a GMC Yukon.  I have a 2011 Nissan Pathfinder that we bought when we got pregnant with #3.  But 7 years later, we need more room.  I have a feeling we'll keep this for a while...

I'm looking around online at Covert, Covert Bastrop, Gunn GMC, Nyle Maxwell and there is a ton of inventory. Which is good as a buyer.  But I have some questions..

    1. How much is worth between 2018 vs 2019 (assuming both are brand new)? They have to be wanting to unload the 2018s but how much of a discount between an identical 2019 should I get?
    2. Any websites to use to price shop?
    3. If they aren't "one simple price", any tips on negotiating?  I have never bought a car that wasn't a fixed price...

    Any other tips?

Roku's remote is pretty good.  I wish they would allow some/all of the pre-programmed app keys to be reprogrammed but I know this is a revenue stream for them.

Personally I like the even more simplistic Apple TV remote since it has the volume control too.  the upper portion is a touchpad/button.  and as you said, why do you need a number pad especially if you can talk to Siri (on apple tv.)

    MQGE2?wid=572&hei=572&fmt=jpeg&qlt=95&op

Yep, the Roku remote has a button to talk to it and I've found it pretty good when searching.

I also like how Roku aggregates the results by what streaming platforms provide it.  For example, I was searching for "The Equalizer" and it turns out that it was on say Fox movie app, I was able to get download the app, login via my DTV Now account and watch free.
