I'm just learning about Ketch stealing from charity from this thread in the last several hours, but I didn't know anything about Chip Brown costing UT Nic Bonitto. Backstory?

How about the dozen (or more) recruits and transfers Ketch singlehandedly cost the program because he just had to be "tEh FiRSt!!!!11" Or the time he nearly cost us Mushchamp?

If Ketch got fucked in the ass with a dildo made of pure plasmic sunfire, it still wouldn't be enough. He's the worst and it's not close, FCB's Nik Bonnitto article and Kurt Bowels Heisman vote included (among many, many, many other things).

This kid is kicking the shit out of the ball and it looks like he's barely even touching it. I just watched him whack it 70+ yards (35 second mark) and it looked like he wasn't even trying.

Exactly what I came here to say. He's barely following through at all and the ball is going 70+ yards. No idea if he'll ever amount to anything or what his accuracy's actually like but he seems like a very nice gamble at PWO to me.

Yet they still havent figured out that the entire SEC already hates them because they are weird.

Exactly. All the bitching and moaning about "tu won't fit in with the SEC crowd" completely ignores the fact that those fucking weirdos don't fit in anywhere outside of BCS. Maybe Jonestown circa 1978 or Sea Org HQ in Clearwater but that's seriously about it.

He tracks the ball really good from his senior highlights, kinda had to because he caught sorry really really bad throws from that qb.

I mean, I don't really get Hunter Refnrow/Justin Hardy type vibes from his HUDL, but who knows? Every once in a great while, the switch flips for a rare few of the these kids and good things happen. Also, I can't imagine you'd have really gotten much from Hunter Renfro or Justin Hardy's HS tapes either

If nothing else, a GPA of 103.4 (whatever the hell that means) seems like it'll be good for our APR.

So we traded TCU Roberson for Jamel Johnson. Johnson tending down in rankings while Roberson had been trending up.

To the extent that you can trust Roberson's Senior HUDL (admittedly, you frequently can't), I'll make that trade all day. He looks fast, like he covers well, is a beast on special teams, plays really hard, and seems to have solid hands. This kid looks like a take all day.

because people won't remember here are the top 10 commits in that class

    1. Derick Roberson
    2. Jerrod Heard
    3. Armanti Foreman
    4. Edwin Freeman
    5. Lorenzo Joe
    6. Duke Catalon
    7. John Bonney
    8. Poona Ford
    9. Jermaine Roberts
    10. Blake Whiteley

other names from that class that stick out to me: Terrell Cuney, Andrew Beck, Jake McMillon, Chris Nelson, Elijah Rodriguez and someone named Kevin Shorter from Newton who didn't ever enroll?

That's depressing as fuck. I remember thinking that a few of those guys (Bonney, Freeman, Roberson, & Catalon?) were going to be so good for us. God damn, that was some shitty projection on my part.

Smalltown coach: "OK, big boy, put your hand on the ground and clog up the middle."

    This fucker: "No."

Smalltown coach: "OK then, how would YOU like to play?"

That's the amazing thing about this kid. He doesn't seem like he really knows what he's doing yet. I think I caught a few (awkward) attempts at swim and spin moves on his HUDL. If we can get him on campus, teach him how to do that stuff correctly and appropriately, and otherwise develop him (and it's ALWAYS a huge "if"), he could turn into an absolute nightmare.

There's a reason Saban had Bo Davis in charge of his DL for so many years

  8. Double posting from the recruiting board, but I saw tonight that I think encapsulates aggy pretty well. My wife and I went to the Texas Stars game and, at one point, the camera for the Jumbotron focused on a father in a maroon shirt with his three little kids for about 20 seconds. This dipshit decided the best reaction to this would be to throw the horns the whole time he was on the screen and force his poor children to do the same. I guess to own all them fancy Austin sips?

Imagine being that big of a tool and displaying, to the world, how proud of it you are. Just pathetic. I hope those poor kids make it to adulthood without being too fucked up

Can you win a suit over a party backing out of an impermissible contract?  What’s the remedy?

I guess it would depend (standard legal answer). I'd think there might be "unclean hands" defense to assert, maybe? On the other hand, if it's permissible under Florida law, that might not work even if it's not permitted under NCAA guidelines. But I'm not a contracts lawyer and, even if I was, I don't know anything about the contract itself or Florida law, so I have no idea

  11. I'm such a huge fan of this kid. Obviously, he's not a Banks level athletic monster but he's pretty much everything else you could ever want from an athlete at the University of Texas. I'll be pulling for him no matter what he winds up doing

I wonder how he's going to justify this one.

Rashada: "The university of Florida promised me $1.5 million but now they say they don't have it"

    NCAA: "That's illegal under NIL"

    Rashada and Florida: "uhhhhhh........................."

Apparently, they actually promised him $13 million (I'm assuming over 4 years). And it looks like the booster who put that money up may have breached a contract by withdrawing it so I'd imagine there's a good chance that Rashada will file suit. What a completely massive fuck up by Florida. And other schools bitch about our boosters...

Edit: you also have to wonder what this does to the Lagway recruitment

If I remember correctly, he was interested in Baseball as a high school recruit.  I assume with the injuries that he is now football only, but does anyone know if he plans to play baseball?

He was definitely interested in baseball and, IIRC, was a pretty well thought of prospect. I don't believe he played it at all at Arky though so I assume that's all over now

Some Barstool guy with 50k followers.  USC 247 posters think it's Marvin Harrison;  Buckeye 247 posters skeptical.

My semi-literate-Twitter-idiot-squid language skills are limited - broken at best - but that's definitely what it looks like is being implied (Harrison, Jr. to USC). If so, wow. Riley's just making more and more friends wherever he goes
