Discussions of hell and the Old Testament get out of my range pretty quickly. Translations of the word “sheol” abound and I go get a beer...

What about insects? Do these folks not use bug spray, etc? E.g., pouring fire ant killer on a single ant mount possibly kills more “living things with a brain” than the total number of “living things with a brain” an average person eats in their life. As a species, we are committing genocide against ants, I guess?
That would also mean that eating a blue whale would be better than something like chicken. Thousands of lives lost vs just one.

My current religious philosophy is “I don’t care”, but I grew up baptist. Therefore, I read the Bible a lot. Lots of hell in there. So do Catholics now have to decide between the Bible and the pope?

Would such targeted protests be allowed here. I can see holding signs but yelling “murderer” in the faces of customers seems to cross the line of free speech into harassment. But I’m not a lawyer and I did not stay in a holiday inn express last night.

Thanks for sharing that with us. Sounds like an amazing man.

As a school administrator, I work with parents a lot on these decisions and giving good info to their doctors. My only comment is that it amazes me how differently the same med and dosage can impact different kids. We have had to tell parents to get their kid off a certain drug because they became a zombie on a tiny dose. Same thing for a different kid is like a miracle drug with all the benefits and almost no negative side effects. All I can suggest is to play around with it until you find what works. Also, don’t forget the behavioral side of it in teaching specific organizational strategies. The meds may help, but they don’t replace those lessons.
As far as the article, the most common side effect we see is loss of appetite. It’s also the most common reason I see parents taking their kid off meds. Some meds are better than others in that area so a switch sometimes works.

Don't know much about him other than what I've read on here/Shaggy.
I did see a segment a couple of nights ago where he had ok'd removing the green fence in left field of Disch-Falk. He then showed up to mingle with the fans. That was enough for me. Dickhead Patterson would have doubled the height of the fence and covered it with ads.
I am one of those LF peeps. I’ve been attending UT baseball games for 28 years and never met an AD. CDC shows up and I’ve already had two brief conversations with him. As far as atmosphere and understanding that things like tailgating make the experience, he completely gets it. Previous ADs wanted people like us gone. He is hanging out with us, taking the wall down, putting charcoal boxes out there to dispose of them properly, etc.
I am a big believer in what he is trying to do here and think he will get the job done. I fully expect to be competitive across the board in 3 years.

Maybe we should spend the next few days responding to every post on the old site that this is the new place and that if you continue to post there you are supporting child molestation by Kevin Morgan. Would give the old site more posts for a while but might drive people over here more quickly.

So, let’s say my vegan friend drives from Houston to Austin to have dinner with me at my house. Along the way 87 insects and other small animals smashed against his windshield and die. He then eats a salad for dinner. I eat a steak.
He killed 87 animals and I killed 1/100th. Who is the bigger monster? Does intent matter?
