LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - A man is recovering from a gunshot wound to his penis.

The Little Rock Police Department says officers found Walter Johnson, 27, at a local hospital on Wednesday morning.

He first told officers he had walked there after he was shot but then changed his story to say someone drove him there and dropped him off. Police confirmed the second story by checking hospital security footage which showed a black Tahoe drop him off.

Johnson told police he was walking down 11th St. listening to his headphones when he heard a pop, felt a burning sensation and realized he had been shot.

The police report states the victim was wounded on the tip of his penis and his injuries were not life-threatening.

Officers searched for a crime scene but did not find one.

Sometimes I feel Arkansas will give Florida a good run for it's money.

Cinco Taco at walnut hill and 75 is legit. Mexican style tacos with house made tortillas (corn were exceptional). Also different queso than you get at most tex-mex places. Will definitely return.

There was a location in Addison too at beltine & DNT.  I think it's closed or transitioned to something else now. I was pleased every time I went.

Dallas apartment complex permanently closed after crane collapse, residents to be relocated

    https://www.fox4news.com/news/dallas-apartment-complex-permanently-closed-after-crane-collapse-residents-to-be-relocated

The Dallas midrise apartment complex damaged after storms knocked a crane onto part of the building will be permanently closed.

The management company of the Elan City Lights complex announced late Monday that the entire complex is uninhabitable and the 534 people who live in the building will have to move.

One person was killed and five others injured when a construction crane at a property next door was toppled in high winds during Sunday’s severe storms. Cell phone video shot by residents showed how the crane tore through part of the parking garage and multiple occupied units.

Greystar said it will assist residents in finding new places to live, whether it’s at other properties it owns nearby in Dallas or another operator’s apartment complex. If residents choose another Greystar property, they will have all fees typically involved in a new move-in waived. People who choose to live at a non-Greystar complex can use an apartment locator service provided by the company.

The company said it will continue to offer a $100 per diem for residents through Friday and its extended its reservations block at local hotels through Friday night. Every resident’s June rent will be refunded along with all security deposits and an additional $500 dollars in each refund check.

It’s still not known how residents will be able to access their vehicles, many of which are still in the City Lights garage. People given five minutes on Monday day to go back inside their unit and take some of their belongings.

Investigators are still looking into the official cause of Sunday’s crane collapse and if there was any negligence involved. The mangled crane will likely be removed from this site over the next week, but no firm start date on the removal has been announced.

They really expect residents to find a new apartment within 4 days?

  5. I played in Shreveport Saturday night on a $10 table.  I started out with HG method just betting the inside 3 numbers closest to the point.  The table started getting hot, so I added in a $10 passline bet with $20-$25 odds.   I ended up walking away up $500 after a 2 hour session.

  6. Yeah, I think RHB re-branded itself and added on the back/side patio. I know nothing about the food but the beer selection looks spectacular. RHB's food was good, I guess, but I would never have called it true, Texas-style BBQ.
This. I live nearby. It's good for happy hour and a good beer selection. The burnt ends make for a good snack. Other than that, it's not that spectacular. Before the rebranding, all beers were $3 at happy hour and on Sundays dieing NFL games.
  7. I'm not arguing here, but that is a really, really bold claim.
There was nothing about being the biggest Longhorn fan on the planet, pay check stubs, cats, golf nor leasing 90s Corvettes in that post.
Not to mention Norwegian prostitutes and leaving price tags on your coats. Or turning down your neighbor that brought over a bottle of wine.

It was so good when they used to cover all of those arcane sports like Australian Rules Football and billiards and curling.  They got fat and lazy and full of themselves. Go back to letting me watch a bunch of different sports all the time.

This.  I remember watching all day marathons of worlds strongest man or lumberjack competitions.  Trick shot billiards was awesome to watch too.

Since meetings came up I feel the need to share.

However, I want to first note I'm not better nor worse than anyone else here, just different.

I tried going to meetings a long while back while I was still drinking. The thing I remember most is an overwhelming desire to prove them wrong. That my habit wasn't that bad. I was fine. I wasn't, it was and they're not but I'm concerned about triggers even trying.

I'm now over 5 years sober now. Which I'm proud of, and I love discussion with you guys and my friends that are in the program. However, I'm paranoid about attending a meeting. Again, not because I'm better than anyone in a meeting, rather I might be triggered to prove it. (Which I can't)

I can see this.  I've honestly felt the same.  I'm 55 days in and haven'g been to a meeting, although I am seeing a therapist weekly along with a Psychiatrist on a monthly basis now.  I attended several meetings before in previous attempts to quit or while still drinking and kept telling myself, "I'm not one of them, I'll prove them wrong." Most times that I went to a meeting, I went straight for a drink afterwards.

Guy I worked with got the snip 20+ years ago.  He had a mid-life crisis and married a young hottie when he was in his mid 50's.

She got knocked up when he was 60+... and yes he did the DNA test thing to make sure it was his (it is).

My aunt and uncle had 2 kids, she got her tubes tied.  A few years later, they had baby number 3 and 4.  He got snipped..a few years later..baby number 5, and yes was his.

I've recently discovered Brad Williams (Sorry/not sorry if video link isn't right) and find him to be quite funny. Dave Chapelle is on a whole another level to me as well.  If you watch interviews with him he is always just off the cuff funny and doesn't insert jokes from his act into interviews like I see other comedians do.

On a related note, I've been reading "Sick in the Head" by Judd Apatow. It's a collection of interviews that dates back to the mid 80's with comedians he's met and worked with.  He started doing these interviews as a teenager working for his high school radio station. Some of these interviews of note include Jerry Seinfeld and Jay Leno back when they were first getting to be known.  I found it interesting that Jay Leno has never done an HBO/Comedy Central type "special", and Seinfeld has only done one during his career.  Both said they do that so they don't have to change their act up too much, where as those that doe frequent "specials" have to constantly update their acts so audiences aren't always hearing the same jokes.

I've personally always loved Eddie Murphy's stand up, and find his stuff re-watchable.  Chris rock mentioned in the book that Eddie hosts fight nights at his house pretty often and you'll see a who's who of comedians there and Eddie is always the funniest guy in the room no matter what.  Chris said he's asked Eddie about returning to the stage and he say's he'll never do it, the only thing that would bring him back out is financial ruin.

The Ford Fusion or Toyota Camry is a good option .   It they are taller kids and need the legroom, these two will do.   I bought a used Fusion for around 14k after TT&L for one of my kids and it's been a good car.   Honda Accords are going to cost you more than either one.

Check to see if one of the rental car companies has their own resale lot in your area because Fusions and Camrys are popular rental cars fleet choices .  You might have to up your budget a tad, but at least you can get four or more years out of of one of those two considering younger drivers are not exactly gentle with cars.

I wouldn't touch an older Jetta.   The price for a used one are attractive and they look sporty for four door.   But they will spend time in the shop.   A neighbors kid had one and it was in the shop and his dad was always bitching about it.   Heard similar stories about them as well.

This.  I had an older A4 for a bit, which is basically the same as a Jetta.  Constantly having issues, especially with the vacuum system.  It consisted of a ton of plastic parts that were constantly leaking/breaking.  Was a pain in the ass to do any kind of work on that car myself.

They do.  The one time I went on first Saturday, it was full menu plus a whole hog (which was fantastic).

Right, they typically don't have whatever "special" they serve Thurs and Fri that week, but regular menu with the "special" being the whole hog.

Thanks.  I was hoping that was the case.  I haven't been able to make it over during the week in a while.  It was much easier when I worked in Addison.

Not to be too big a dick, but all boots are going to wear on the rubber heel caps and all are going to get holes in the soles, eventually.  The critical question is how well and how many times they can be resoled/rebuilt.  Cheap or modern construction boots can be half-soled once or twice then done.  Traditionally made boots can be resoled and rebuilt practically forever. Thin or lower grade sole leather is one way to cut cost that affects initial wear but probably not overall quality.

Not a dick at all.  I knew from experience  I would get 2-3 years at most out of them.  I just haven't invested in a better quality pair yet.

Was browsing the Cavender’s website. They have store brand boots. Some made by “Old Gringo” others made in Nocona.

Does anyone have experience with their house brand boots? Prices seem pretty reasonable.

I had some of these.  They were comfortable, but wore out after 2 years.  I tend to wear mine quite a a bit (2-3) times a week.  My heels wore down on the edges pretty quickly, and a whole eventually wore in the bottom.  My next pair, I'm going to try some heel taps/plates to see if that helps prevent from wearing so quickly.
