  1. Sean Payton related Trivia: no Super Bowl winning head coach that moved to another team ever won another Super Bowl.
  2. No shit. Sean Payton isn’t doing a one year turnaround on this shitbox team and there’s no Drew Brees coming in as a non-franchise tagged free agent QB to help him. Get young, energetic, and innovative coaches and keep building depth through 1st, 2nd, 3rd round picks. Last year’s draft still has potential to be very good if we see Stingley play more man, aggy guard starts playing with the “asskicker attitude” he was billed for, and Metchie gets a clean bill of health (supposedly should be back for OTAs). Add in Pitre and Pierce and that’s 5 starters. We have #2 (could likely trade down if they don’t like a QB and pick up other high picks), #12, #33, #65, and #73. If Caserio hits on 3 or 4 of those, they’ve turned over half their starters in two drafts with a young talent base to build around. Trading a first round pick for Sean Payton would be a disaster.
  3. We turned the Mystery Machine into Noah’s Ark, dawg!
  4. A bold strategy for soliciting donations!
  5. Because he’s still under contract, and per the collective bargaining agreement approved by the NFLPA, Baltimore has the right to franchise tag him for another season? Also because until we wins in the playoffs, and/or demonstrates he’ll be able to win mostly with his arm for when his legs start to go in a few years, he isn’t worth a 6+ year deal at Mahomes or Watson money per year?
  6. I assume Justin Tucker and Devin Duverney fans do.
  7. Lamar is being a contract bitch. It’s one thing to hold out preseason games, quite another to quit on your team in week 18 and the playoffs. All insiders have been saying if they offered him a Mahomes extension he’d be playing. He said there’s “inflammation around my knee”, lol that is called pain associated with playing contact sports. Everyone has inflamed joints, muscles, and tendons by season’s end. The “my knee is unstable”….if he actually stretched a knee ligament, did he think this was going to correct itself in a week or two? I guess he did since he was day to day and just decided to quit. Hopefully the Ravens franchise tag his ass and start making alternate plans for 2024.
  8. Back in late 2000 I voted for Bayou City Hell Penguins as the nickname, and I stand by that.
  9. Just imagine it after he cut the sleeves off that bad boy!
  10. This gets brought up as frequently as the Texans are mentioned by national media or people that haven’t been paying attention. Bill O’brien was deservedly fired. They hired Culley for two reasons (1. They knew they were tanking and needed a pep rally guy as a stop gap and Culley was generally well liked; 2. vain effort to make Watson happy by hiring an African American coach after not going with his choices for GM or Bieniemy as HC). It was stupid to fire Culley (and pay him almost $30m in guaranteed dead money). Lovie was always a stop gap because after the Flores lawsuit they thought they needed another African American and someone with more coaching experience than Flores. I don’t know why they fired Lovie when they still aren’t ready to compete, just like I don’t know why they fired Culley.
  11. The dumber move was promoting Lovie to HC last year instead of hiring someone that might actually grow with the program. The dumberer move was firing Culley if they knew they were going to be tanking again anyway. Now it’s 4 different coaches in 4 consecutive years, and if Caserio makes the hire then gets fired, the next GM will want to bring in another new HC he picks.
  12. Omega and her whining in preteen 🥝 kiwi accent are annoying AF. I hope she gets gutted by Darth Maul after she gets busted stealing from his crime syndicate.
  13. This is how I feel (they should not take any qb at #1 this year), but now I’m scared they will burn a #2 or #3 to Chicago to move back up to #1 and take a QB anyway.
  14. Don’t be obtuse. My point was that the good people of Detroit, Indianapolis, St. Louis, etc. are not going to fill up the neutral site stadium, so it will be a few thousand fans of each team that can afford to fly out to watch. It could be a stadium with small capacity just to do something cool with this rare circumstance rather than play in an empty NFL stadium that is sterile even when there are fans.
  15. It will be Indianapolis because they always get this kind of shit, and it’s a dome, geographically centered sort of between KC and Cincinnati/Buffalo, and Colts aren’t using it. But bland AF
  16. And he had to watch Gary Kelly make it rain in the corner booth at the Rhino.
  17. Yes, son. Paul Revere used to drink with Babe Ruth in there before he got traded to the Yankees.
  18. I was thinking a D2 college stadium but your point stands.
  19. Since whichever neutral site NFL stadium they use will probably only be quarter to half full, and this is hopefully a one time thing, it would be cool if they play it in a smaller non-NFL venue.
  20. Somehow Bud Selig will profit from this.
  21. Can the squirrel play catcher for us?
  22. Weekends in Austin are already packed with one major event to the next, and highways are always jammed. What’s one more weekend in late December (when UT is out and lot of student have left)? Doing it at the MLS stadium with the Domain and all the breweries close by is kind of cool. Better destination for teams and fans than Shreveport, Detroit, Memphis, or Mobile.
  23. This attitude gets us Charlie Strong and Tom Herman because we refuse to hire top, innovative assistants with no HC experience. We also often exclude HC’s from outside D1 for the same reason.
