In case we do get Patterson, I was wondering whether someone knew - did anyone talk more chit about our program, to recruits? Ever?
Thanks in advance.
No. No one did.
It would be one thing we don’t have to worry about anymore.

This is brilliant. And we should only recruit WR/LB hybrids for this room. Two-way players. We'd revolutionize the game...
problem with that is conditioning. Very few players can go both ways because of conditioning. It’s all about conditioning.

It was 3 guys, so should be expected. But point stands I guess as a relative measure of the past few lines.
Yes I would kill for an OL that could block 3 guys consistently.

And to think we could have had Orange in this class too

I'm glad signing day is tomorrow or it would be two weeks of people talking about how Burke needs to gain 35 pounds.
I know a few people on here who can help him find a certain fried food.

Has this guy's name ever been brought up in any capacity at any point during this cycle? Way out of left field.
Steve has been on the 247 staff for like 10 years. He is also a Michigan insider so not really likely that he'd be brought up this cycle.

He look like Chet Holmgren out there

FWIW high school coach from DFW area who posts on 247 saying that there is a WR silent and that we will be pretty shocked in a positive way who it is.
Which HS coach and who is the silent?

I mean- if I was Red I wouldn’t want to pull the trigger now if people are getting themselves hyped up for Stewart.
On a serious note I have no official or actual knowledge that Stewart is coming to school here. All indications are it’s actually not happening and it’s exactly what I said. Still, a part of me refuses to give up hope that it will happen. And that’s the part of me that’s been repeating the mantra- “it will all be on when we pull Ewers from the portal, flip Stewart ink some stuff offensive linemen and get a good WR and starting OL from the portal. And I was repeating that since about November 1st long before Ewers was in the portal. It’s just sort of a feeling. Not based on anything. It’s based on your feeling. It’s good enough for me.

With Evan sticking at A&M, we could circle back to Phaizon

So the coaches got back to work, since they weren't taking him for granted, even though they had to get back to work. Glad it worked.

I have posted on page 1000. Thanks.

I don’t love that update, kind of like “don’t blame Texas if he goes elsewhere”
It wasn’t an update. It was a patch of nonsense text written because they don’t know anything about anything.

I'd think we'd want someone else to post it. The only commitment I ever posted decommitted. As a good Longhorn I have therefore never posted another.
Who was it

It might be nice if King shows up for the last couple games and shows some promise in their season ending losses. They'll pin all their playoff hopes on him for the next season and blame this season on his absence. Next year really will be the year. Tick, tick, tick...
Yes, or could have King come back, throw some more multi INT games and pin their hopes on a “true fish” QB like they often do

TexAgs: “Only a month in, and the 2021 college football season is looking like one of the strangest in memory. Upsets by the handfuls every Saturday, national powers falling right and left and unbelievable finishes have been the story thus far. The result is antsy, anxious and flat-out angry fan bases across the country. From LA to Louisiana, from South Bend to Clemson, South Carolina and, well, everywhere in the state of Florida, there are far more questions than answers.”
So much great stuff in here from Looch.
1. Love the deflection away from ATM and to all these other programs
2. I’m not sure I’d say this is the strangest season in recent memory
3. 100% he considers ATM as one of those ‘national powers falling left and right’ when they haven’t done a single meaningful thing in nearly 25 years
4. His geographic descriptions and order make no sense

So assuming we lose to Bama and make it out without significant injuries…
Mizzou - win
South Carolina - win
Bye - King comes back, OL has gelled a bit. Defense is back on track.
Auburn - A&M wins a wild one at home.
Ole Miss - A&M loses a close one.
PV - win
LSU - A&M wins in Coach O's final game.
8-4 with good momentum heading into the bowl game.

I think the only game we can chalk up as a win is PV.
We'll even manage to find a way to **** up the bye week.
Amazing that 8-4 can be a season that ends “with momentum” when they thought their floor was 10-2 and ceiling was 12-0.
never change.

I hope he chooses Texas as his home. He is a good player and I believe he would make the offense better. A lot of teams want him so that is usually an indicator of if a player is good. I like turtles.
