My propane game is weak.  Is 400 gallons of liquid enough to level a house?

I don't know how much natural gas was in the basement of the school in New London.  Killed 298 students in 1937.  My grandparents were at the scene helping look for survivors.

My only experience is shooting a 5 gallon tank from 100 yards with a 30/06.  Only made a hole and spewed propane.  No explosion or fire.

So how big of a setback is arthroscopic knee surgery for someone in pretty good shape in their mid er late 40s? My only frame of reference are 20 and 30 something professional athletes who are playing again 2-3 weeks later.

    Had a few:

Day 1: Crutches to get around better.  Ice machine.  Won't be much pain due to numbing medicine.

Day 2.  Limp around the house. No stairs.  Ice machine.  Narcotics to stay ahead of pain.

Days 3-5:  Limping around still.  Wean off narcotics.  Ice machine.

Week 2.  Should be getting around pretty good.  Stationary bike.  Ice machine.  Advil/Aleeve.

Week 3-4.  Walking normal.  No soccer, basketball, tennis, etc..  Stationary or road bike will help.  Walking the hood.

Return to activities per doctor advice.

If my TSLA shorts come in, I'm buying a high-end .45.  Like way high end.  What brand/model do I want?  Wish Staccato made a .45.

Also.  How does one purchase TSLA shorts?

    Like way high end?

    Double Stack

Chambers, Charyn, Mercier, Atlas, Hayes, Accuracy X and Infinity.  Hard to get double stack high end .45

    Single stack old school .45

Jason Burton, Ted Yost, Chuck Rogers, Stan Chen(never heard of one changing hands), Volkmann, Cabot

  4. Breck owner.  Make the trip by car several times per year.  Austin to Trinidad is 11 hours for us.  New Hilton Gardens hotel at the main exit.  Decent pub food next door and there is a bar in the hotel.  It is 4ish hours to Breck via 9, 24, or 470/70.  On the turnaround, it is 11 hours from Breck to Sweetwater.  New La Quinta there and a Whataburger across the interstate.  4ish hours home via 183 or 71 next morning.  Breaking it up works best for us.  No kids, no dogs.

  5. Less than 30 day countdown for us to have our first.  Can't wait.  Grandmas to be are busier than bees getting things ready.  It is the best time in life.

  6. On a side note:  Shot at a shooting range this past summer with Jeffrey Donovan.  He is one the main characters in the movies.   He is a gun guy and can run a Staccato XC very well.  Nice guy and we had an afternoon of blasting away and trading Staccatos to shoot.

  7. Did the 500 rule Christmas day.  Very easy and worked perfectly.

Used mustard as a binder and coated heavy with coarse sea salt and black pepper on 4 rib roast.

    Heated oven to 500 degrees.

Cooked at 500 degrees for 30 minutes.

Turned off oven and did not open for 2 hours.

Watched temp probe and at 2 hours, was a perfect 130 degrees.

Pulled, rested for 30 minutes and then slice/serve.

Family ate every bite.  Will do again.

Can someone tell me why 80s and 90s presidential’s are cheaper? Like 14-19k on bobs watches. Is it the movement?

I’m not an expert but they are less expensive because of bracelets/cases were not solid gold.  When Rolex  changed to 118 series there is a noticeable difference in weight.  Not sure about movement.  It may have been updated.  I have both and can only tell the difference in weight.

  9. I have Blue Cruise on the f150.  It does ok on the interstate if the road is fairly straight.  It takes the apex of a curve differently than I do.  It passes cars/big rigs too close in my opinion.  No traffic on I 25 last week in Colorado and it did pretty well for a couple hundred miles.

  10. I have the same OG MKII Target. Has to be 40 years old now.  It is ridiculously accurate.  Spent many afternoons shooting skeet from a portable thrower.  Stand behind the thrower and once you get the arc down, it is not that hard to hit them.

  11. I got it 6 months ago.  It is very accurate, eats everything, points naturally, 16 round mags and conceals well in an AIWB holster.  I am taking it out to Florence to have them redo the trigger.  It is 3.5 lbs on my gauge but has a good bit of "scrunchy" take up.    They can upgrade ignition kit and change the take up.

I think it has a lot of upside and I will get faste with more practice.  If it can beat the 19, that is saying something.  The Gen 5 19 that I had Cline Tactical build is a machine.  Sub 2 second draw speed, .25 splits and has never missed a beat in 1000s of rounds.  Hardly ever clean it, just drop of oil on slide, barrel, hood, etc..every 500 rounds.

Ok much better pic. The initial pic looked like a 23.

Does yours have the new takedown method implemented about 8 weeks ago?

It is by far the easiest 2011/1911 takedown that I have ever had.

top - daily wear Stacatto CS/ Cartier Santos

middle - date night. Custom built commander with all the goodies/ Rolex President

bottom - scuffling time.  Cline Tactical custom 19/ Citizen Promaster/ Microtech Exocet

All shoot 5 rounds touching at 10 yards if I do my part   Fastest draw speed/splits/scores are with the 19   Staccato is coming along   I expect it to take over in another year and couple thousand rounds

How about Silverthorne/Frisco/Dillon Colorado?    You are 30 min from 3-4 different ski resorts, great in the summer for outdoor stuff.    Big enough Hospital.      1.5 hours to Denver Airport which might be the main issue if that is super critical to you.   But being in houston an hour drive to IAH isn't really a new thing ha.

This is not a bad area.  More moderate housing prices in comparison to mountain towns, big box shopping, lots of outdoor activities.  An hourish to downtown Denver and same the other way to Vail.  Downsides are summer crowds/traffic and a lot of snow to deal with in the winter.   I personally don't like full on winter up here.  We had 350" last year at our house in Breck.  Constant work keeping drives, decks clear.

Opinions on Cartier Santos? I haven’t seen Cartier really mentioned much.

Bought mine 40 years ago.  Still a daily wear.  Been back to the factory twice for service.  Never any trouble, but about every 15 years I send it in.  Gets lubed, polished, etc...

  16. Vent.   Went to Westlake Digital Kitchen yesterday.  What a shit show.  Around noon and almost empty except for the 3 cars in line trying to place their order.  Service sucks.   Food sucks.  It has to be the most wasted real estate pad between Mopac and 360.

In other news, the Whataburger in Dripping Springs is very good and professionally managed.  Same for William Cannon/Mopac location.

  17. We have a home in Colorado.  Our area has many cats, bears and moose.   Only see cats running away or the evidence of a deer/elk kill.  Bears are pretty shy.  They tend to amble off when encountered in the yard or on the trail.  Moose are completely different.  They are completely unpredictable and so large that any encounter can go bad.
